Reaper Bones 5: Enthusiasm and Commentary thread

Recommended Posts

I'm in no rush for my package, even though it will have new paints in it.  I can wait a bit, even past the May long weekend when I know the paint will pretty much make it without issue...

At least up here in Canada we're at the point in the year where it's unlikely that our paint will freeze.

Can't wait to receive my Bones  Four Five package!

Yeah, we're now at the point where odds are in your favour, but it's still technically gambling because we all know third winter is lying in wait for us to lower our guard...

C'mon Bones 5... we've got to be close to packing and shipping...

They pretty much showed the stage it is in on Reaper Live. There were videos. Process is similar to last time.

I believe it looks like this:

  • Receive Container
  • Unload container and scan contents
  • Inventory items received
  • Stack in warehouse in a orderly organized way
  • Wait on additional containers (if any)
  • Prepare order pulling and packing area
  • After all containers have arrived pull, pack, and ship a small batch to test the process
  • Refine process
  • Begin pulling and shipping

The last ReaperLive Stream showed them as far as the first four bullet points, for ††5 out of ___ containers:

  • Receive Container
  • Unload container and scan contents
  • Inventory items received
  • Stack in warehouse in a orderly organized way
  • Wait on additional containers (if any)  <=== they were here

††Or, 3 out of 5 not counting UK. See next post.

Thanks for the info! As for the number of containers, last written update they said there were only five containers expected. (They had received 3 out of 5 at the time of the update.)

So any potential other containers would be containers they wouldn't be expecting, I guess ..? So if they realize they haven't received everything after doing inventory, there might be another container on the way they didn't know about.

Where does absolute fall in comparison to obtuse and acute?

I seem to recall someone saying 12 containers total, but I could be totally wrong.

I think you’re right. I think they said that some containers are still waiting to be unloaded in California before making their way to Texas.

I know from practical experience that Reaper paints will survive anything warmer than -17o C.

And I know from practical experience that they won't.  I have several dead Reaper paint pots (which were refunded, or resent by Reaper), as well as two dead CAV ones (from KS3).  Once temperatures go below freezing, it's a risk.

I kinda hope this will deliver in June the earliest (at least for EU backers), since I'll move next month. But since we haven't heard anything on the ETA of those containers, I think I'm in the clear.

If you're looking for role-playing games that are concise enough to crack open and start playing right away, yet sufficiently robust and evocative to support longer campaign play as well, you've come to the right place.

Welcome to the Kickstarter for the first three Tri-Stat System Mini-Game Boxed Sets – a new line of compact and complete role-playing adventure games that are compatible with Dyskami Publishing's flagship BESM Fourth Edition anime and manga RPG. Tri-Stat System creator Mark MacKinnon has distilled and customised the complete system into distinct streamlined versions for each of the three adventure games – targeting their specific genres and background settings in easy-to-understand boxed sets.

Each of the three role-playing adventure games contains the following components:

a 32-page full-colour rulebook that gives your group everything you need to play, with sections on character abilities, magical spells/paranormal powers, weapons and equipment, enemy encounters, items and equipment, and guidelines for integrating the Tri-Stat System game with the compatible BESM Fourth Edition RPG
6 brief story scenarios so you can start playing adventures right away
6 pre-generated player character sheet handouts, with game stats and illustration
4 custom-etched dice specific to that boxed set

You can pledge for one, two, or all three of these boxed sets during the Kickstarter.

      ...

I know know nothing about these creators or the system, but I decided to back for Pixies entirely because of that picture of the corgi. 👀
