@R2ED I feel similarly. I got into bones when Bones 4 was late backing.

I first found them because my FLGS carried tons of them. Then I scooped up some old Bones 3 and 2 stuff from ebay. Finally backed the core on 4. Spent the next year regretting the the expansions I talked myself out of and tracking them down second hand.

I went all out on this one.

I'm getting back into my painting groove after injury, even though our last in-person game was over a year ago. And I'm moving so I'll have to look for a new gaming group. I enjoy just painting what I want to paint instead of what is needed for the next game, but it's sad to just put them away in the "done" drawers instead of using them.

While I'm not sure if I'm going to back again, Bones have a really special place in my hobby-heart. Without them I'd be far away from having the repertoire of creatures to populate most of my games with miniatures. New lines of plastic miniatures might have been released since the start of the Bones line, but they still make the bulk of my collection and I like how good they're suited to build little groups and warbands of a large variety of creature types.

I’m wave 5 USA shipping; I did a $600 core pledge and then added like 4 more orders in the pledge manager bc i might as well have to wade through all my miniatures, ala Scrooge McDuck, in my bonus room.

I have wayyyyyyy more than 20 miniatures. My goblin math is hobgoblin level.

I am in wave 1.  The Grow in the Dark ship probably doubles the size of my box.

Grow in the dark sounds terrifying for something already so large.

😄

In the interests of stirring enthusiasm I was thinking of sharing pics of the Bones 5 Core Set that I won on Reaper Live last week. It's due to arrive Wed.  What do you want to see first?  What should I paint first?  Will the box be big enough for the cat? Which cat will try it first?

The box is always big enough for the cat. Reach into the box and pull something at random.

I don't even remember what wave I'm in. It'll come when it comes. Probably right during the height of canoeing season. Oh well, they keep.

I'm going to paint the leucrotta first, simply because I like the Miniature Monday black panther and think it would look great on this mini.

We're in Canada, so the waves don't apply to us. For you and me, it'll be bundled up and shipped to the distribution center in Calgary (or Toronto for the Eastern folks), and then parceled out to the backers. Some of us are achingly close when they arrive.

I'm looking forward to getting pings about my city again, and maybe this time it might actually be my package!

Also, if it's shipped to Calgary as distribution ohhhh yeah that's gonna be nice to get mine a day later..

Ah are they doing that again this time? Worked well for Bones IV.
