I am going to make the prediction that they'll be starting fulfillment in about 2 weeks. This is just a personal guess and I have no actual insight, but I have a 50/50 chance of being almost right if you squint a little.

If I had to put money down I’d bet late July/early August.

Watching last night’s Reaper Live right now. Apparently the production company saw the last KS update, and contacted Reaper to clarify that they had caught the boat sagging issue before full-scale production, and thus the issue is already fixed in the production copies. This had been communicated to Reaper, but apparently got lost in the shuffle; reaper also didn’t realize the boat they had on hand wasn’t a 100% final production copy. Reaper was trying to be proactive to resolve the issue before delivery, and didn’t realize the issue had already been identified and solved.

All that to say, there will be no need of a boat plug for the pirate ships. Ed was joking about what to do with the thousands of boat plugs they’ve already produced.

Ah, the ever infamous "in two weeks", where the supplier never mentions as to which two weeks they're referring to.

So long as paint doesn't ship in cold weather, I'm good.

I don’t know if this is a good spot for this question, but I’m trying to ensure I have the right supplies ready to tackle the plastic mountain when it comes, which brings me to varnish.

I like matte varnish for the most part. I used to use Testor’s dullcote, which was awesome, if expensive. But I can’t find that anymore. Then I switched the Vallejo matte spray varnish, which also works very well. But that’s awfully pricey and frequently out of stock. I’ve used non-mini specific matte spray varnishes in the past with mixed success: some were fine, others made my Reaper Bones minis permanently tacky.

Does anyone have any recommendations for cheap spray matte varnishes that’ll work with Reaper Bones minis? Thanks in advance!

I've been using Krylon varnishes because they're locally available and haven't had any issues.

I also love Dullcote but since it became impossible to find, I switched to Vallejo Matt spray and I did find brush on Dullcote. Both of these have worked well for me. Not what you would call "cheap" but I figure I can spray a lot of minis with that big ol' can of Vallejo so in the long run, I feel I get my money's worth. Plus, neither of these have ruined any of my minis.

Reaper makes a brush on sealer that's all I use on Bones after several disastrous attempts with spay sealers. I wonder if it could be used with an airbrush?

you might have to thin it slightly, depending on your needle size. Not sure what that'd do to the finish, sometimes varnish is finicky.  However, I use liquatex matte acrylic varnish diluted with distilled water and shot through an airbrush quite effectively. Fortunately bones don't need the varnish for protection as much as metal minis do, so a thin coat to even the sheen is usually plenty, so I haven't needed to resort to stuff like Krylon (which I hear has very  mixed results on bones anyway)

Vallejo Mecha Matte is another option that's actually designed for airbrush and is SUUUUUPER flat if that's what you're looking for.
