Reaper Bones 5: Enthusiasm and Commentary thread

Nothing reminds you more how ridiculous the hoard has gotten than a move.

I will third this.  During the packing I was thinking "Oh, this will take a tote or maybe two..." and then FOUR totes later "I think I just need one more..."

Not exactly "dread", because I know it won't take up as much space as everyone thinks.  I got most of B1 and B4, and 95% of it fits in a medium size tub.  What's worrying me is right now  is I can't find the correct sized plastic storage anywhere (except amazon where they are 4x the normal price) and using something different, like a cardboard box makes me feel all OCD and irritated.

Target has always been good for my tote needs--although they don't seem to want to ship them.  We've also used the two main big box hardware stores for totes as well as having seen some at the bulk warehouse club, too.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one with the lion's share of a Bones KS (or two) hiding out in storage bins.

Anyone else dreading a bit the incoming shipment of B5? Excited certainly, but a little "what have I done" mixed in...

I’m just crossing my fingers and hoping it arrives all while my wife is at work.....

My wife gets hobby supplies (she makes chain mail jewelry) in small boxes once or twice a week. I figure getting all of mine in one huge box once every other year or so evens out.

I hope.

I just glued all my boyfriend's Warhammer minis to magnets in preparation for the move. Having gotten so up-close and personal with that collection my conscience about my Bones box is pretty clear. ::D:

But yes, there is a lot and I've been guilt-painting in between building IKEA furniture.

I’d say that’s fair!

I'm itching today for updates, haha. #Exciting

"UK Warehouse: our UK warehouse is expecting its final container on June 8th. Once it is processed, they will get the warehouse set up and start fulfillment. We do not have an expected or "soft date" for our UK warehouse at this time. We will post an update once we know more or if anything changes"

Would really like to know if the UK warehouse got their container today. I guess it won't get it's own update, but maybe someone will drop the info in one of the streams.

They said if any place had their last container it would become an own seperate update.
I'm not sure if they'll first register all from the container though, or notify Texas quarters.

I might be wrong, but I'd really only expect them to update once they were ready to start shipping. However, ReaperRon is the guest on the Crows Nest Twitch show tonight, so I could stay up and try and ask about it in chat if anyone is interested?

We're so close!

I long ago stopped my daily oogling of the minis on the kickstarter page, so now I almost feel like I'll be surprised at all the goodies!

I'm really looking forward to all the terrain pieces coming in.  I have some homemade stuff I've used, but this is gonna really bulk up the set pieces I can throw on the table.

Well, the official word(from ReaperJon) is that they haven't heard anything about the UK Hub getting their find container.

In related news, I almost had palpitations when I saw a 'postage received' email in my inbox from Reaper. I was so excited until I remembered that I'd placed an order yesterday.....

Aetherworks gave their Wednesday update and Bones 5 isn't even in the queue.

That sounds about right. Maybe Friday

Unless there's some other arrangement that we're not aware of, such as an agreement about who is permitted to post updates on Bones 5

I of course have other thoughts that should not be shared in polite or impolite company

I barely received my last campaign pledge from Midlam that already it has something that caught my interest.

Sisters of the Kraken Cult. The female counterparts of the previous "Onslaught of the Cult of the Kraken Lord" and "Cultists of the Kraken Lord". (I now have some regret of not getting it)

What's also interesting is the optional add-on of fish folk.

Brinewind is going to have some interesting neighbors.

I'm happy to see they've launched a 2nd KS, as I missed out on the first one.
Here's the blurb from the Kickstarter, which is live and already funded here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/292543184/wallhalla-2/description

Hey, everyone! We're Ill Gotten Games, and we're back for another round of Wallhalla, the modular, 3d printable miniature display shelves!
We're kicking this new series off with a Dangerous Dungeon theme that comes in two available styles:

Classic: (left) the original format found in Series 1, optimized for miniature display. Classic shelf units also include versions with recesses for standard round bases (20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, and 70mm).
Wall Sprawl: a new, terrain-style take that lets you build vertical dungeons and play on your wall space! (It works great as a display as well, especially if you want even more of a diorama look.)
Both of these sets are 100% compatible with one another and with any of the sets from Series 1. This campaign is for digital STL files, not finished, physical products, and you'll need access to a 3d printer to make them. All of our Wallhalla designs:
print 100% support free and are optimized for FDM machines!
assemble with durable, built-in slide-fit connectors, and don't require glue!
can be configured (and reconfigured) into whatever build suits your fancy!
      are easy to paint!

A new Kickstarter that may otherwise go under your radar.

      Very entertaining 70’s/80’s nostalgia aesthetics.
