Cyradis
It is okay to be frustrated by delays. It isn't okay to be a goremaw about it. :) I've decided that goremaw should be the forum euphemism for an insult describing a thing that looks similar to a purple worm. 6 5

Being frustrated with the situation is entirely reasonable and, as you duly point out, there is a difference between having said frustration and taking things outside of Reaper's control out on employees or representatives. So long as people are being reasonable enough, you are not required to wear a smiley face at all times. Happiness is certainly the desired goal, but we don't impose it as a mandatory condition.

Did....did you just disparage the greatest miniature Reaper has ever made?... How dare you!
Divaricatus
Admittedly, I’m a little nervous. It’s my first Bones KS and I guess I will be a little overwhelmed to find some 500 minis waiting for me in several huge boxes when I come home some day soon.

Like, it's okay to be a little frustrated that you want your KS order that was estimated originally for April. It's okay to be a little antsy about that. Obviously don't take it out on Reaper or their employees (because again, they're working hard to make this right) but stuff like "I have 956,403 minis so I don't need it anytime soon" isn't really the comfort some of y'all think it is. In fact, in anticipation of the KS arriving, I'm personally nearly caught up now, and it's kinda pompous and presumptuous to assume that everyone else is also in the same position. Idk, don't mean to complain here, and I know it won't get the containers in faster. But it's okay to be a little frustrated, is all. Totally get that, it's never nice to have your genuine concerns or frustrations dismissed or labelled as whining simply because other people are more enthusiastic or hyped. Unfortunately, Facebook groups tend to lean more towards the "Fanboy" side. 5

mikem91
TBF, I wasn't speaking for anyone else or saying their anxious feelings were irrational or offering comfort. I was explaining my basis for why I'm not overly concerned about the delivery of Reaper's KS. Just speaking about me. Not about anyone else. Let's keep the straw golem off the table. A couple of months late on KS delivery is pretty common with KS. I've had some KS turn out to be frauds, some only partially deliver. Reaper's communications has been awesome on all their kickstarters. They may be late, but I know where they are.
cawatrooper
@mikem91 I realize that my post having immediately followed yours might've made it seem like I was targeting you, but tbh I'm not sure I'd even read yours at the time. Just funky timing, I assume, but I definitely wasn't trying to call you out or anything. Cheers. Honestly, thanks for both the commiseration and words of encouragement, everyone. I'm sure we'll see it soon, and I'm excited for when that happens! And of course, I'm at the stage of moving when this is most awkward (still awaiting for final approval, so I'm not ready to list it as our new address yet)... so no doubt that's adding to the stress. DragonWyrm
As long as kickstarter backers get their stuff before retail I don't really care which country is first or last (given that I am in Australia that is a good thing). Now, I wonder how the tax situation is going to go in Europe. That is something that interests me more, even if it doesn't affect me. 4

The people talking about new deals/trade deals with the UK seem to miss the point that it's about items produced in the UK/EU, there might be exemptions for those. But even with that exemption, you're going to pay the normal consumer tax (19-20% depending on country), you might just get around a bit of duty fees. I just hope they'll let my package through without too much hassle.

And paying taxes is normal, the import fee is the thing different about this one, and that'll depend per country on their rules and such :) I'm eagerly awaiting here, with an estimate of what it'll cost, but no certainty in anything. We'll see when we'll see, I hope it'll be within a month getting to my front door :)

My last KS, my 4 year old (now 7) was able to fit in the box with room to spare:) I believe @Cyradisactually fit into hers:)

Moderator TaleSpinner Posted June 15, 2021 Moderator Share Posted June 15, 2021 My Son's Bachelor party is on the second weekend of July. It is a campaign I am running for him featuring kobold pirates. With my luck I'll get the ship the Monday after the party.
