Reaper Bones 5: Enthusiasm and Commentary thread

Count on it being a troll.

That one poster has been claiming to have received minis, tracking numbers, etc. for  some time now.

Really makes me wish there were mod options for KS comments.  Between the trolls, and the arguers, the comments over there become unbearable.

Just have to patiently wait for my box and then we'll be free of the comment section torment.  Until the next KS of course.

It would be pretty cool to paint the ship up in herp friendly paint and do an enclosure for your beardy with a pirate ship half buried in the sand (though I suspect the masts would get bendy under the basking lamps).

(I want a beardy so bad but my wife is not having it.)

Probably won't put it in the tank but I'll let him crawl around on it.

The dragon is ridiculously domesticated due to being a pandemic-pet. Here look at this snuggly lizard - does that help convince her they're cute enough? He wanted to sleep on my leg. Beardies are originally from Oz. Mascot for them getting stuff first!

I have these in my back yard, and have to avoid them when driving (they love sitting in the middle of the road with their heads up, I'm sure you know the pose I mean, getting the sun). Also had to free one stuck in a fence once (thick gloves were the order of the day, they have a nasty little nip on them)

mine are definitely not domesticated

On the ship front I'm sure my kids would've loved one, but I have no use for it, and I also couldn't put as much into Bones V as I'd originally hoped due to required works on our house.

Oh, sorry for falling for it.

Don't worry about it--seriously, it ain't worth it.  I just happened on it and the following (and some of the preceding) posts at the right time.  It's been quite some time since the KS comments were worth reading on the regular.

And if Oz gets theirs first, they're first.  If Europe gets theirs second, then they're second.  But I'm in Wave 18 anyway.

Based on previous statements by Reaper, it is 5 or 6 things that are in those two containers. Only two of those 6 items have been publicly identified, to my knowledge. One is the glow-in-the-dark pirate ship, and the other is the ‘Modern Scenics’ power up option.

Tonight, as part of the statement that identified the modern scenics set, it was also mentioned that most of the held-up items were power-up add-ons.

From past streams we know they were planning to release the Demonic Legions set as a “Blood Demons” boxed set this summer. Similar situation with the henchwomen (bundled with the henchmen). So I would guess those items have already arrived in large numbers, and are not held up on the not-yet-delivered containers.

Looking at the numbers of items, and Ron’s statement that it’s mostly power-up options, I’m guessing I’m going to be one of the few that get my delivery held up. I ordered a grim reaper figurehead, and I’d bet those probably all shipped with the glow-in-the-dark ships (as they are also GitD). I also ordered many of the power-up options (though did refrain from a few).

Bummer. But not the end of the world (and also not a sure thing that it will actually affect me).

Yeah, I'll probably be held up. No GitD ship, but a decent number of power-up add-ons. Needed multiple of the middle finger spell effect.

Have they said how they're dealing with the Canadian portion of pledges? In Bones IV they split them off and shipped them up first. Holding all of Canada's orders until that can be done, or partial, or as per wave order like the US?

I was super excited to get an unexpected update email right before reaper live today. I’m even more excited since it sounds like I SHOULDN’T be impacted by the 2 containers but not knowing what all products are on them is weird.

Reaper live made it sound like it was 6-8 items, mostly power up rewards. With only that many items you would think it would be easy enough to just reveal what all is on them and let people know for sure if they’ll be impacted.

Great to hear they'll be sending out orders soon. I hope not too many of you will be skipped, but those who will wouldn't have had their stuff sooner anyway.

Argh, I missed the henchwomen in the pledgemanager (they got turned off rather quickly after being added) but I do have the henchmen. Would've liked to pick up just the ladies, but well, at least they'll be released soon-ish I guess.

I'll probably get held up since that's the way my life goes. I'm in Wave 2 and got the following power ups:

Demonic Legion

Nathavarr the Ravenous

Beastmen

Henchwomen

I also got the "Disapproving Hand", but it doesn't list as a "power up" in the order history.

      A message from Secret Weapon:

      Big news time everyone!
As many of our pledgers know, we need to adjust the Kickstarter - On the positive, we have a good amount of backers and we know that MANY of you are waiting to up your pledges. We have had a really positive response to the product itself, and lots of interest on the customer and retail side. We deeply appreciate this and your support.
BUT - we have a good amount of backers who are opting to wait on their $1 pledge. This is entirely our fault. We caused this when we locked our core offering behind stretch goals. There is no single item that is core. ALL the options are core. We made it so that many of you had to wait around to buy what you already knew they wanted.
That's a big boo boo, but it was made with the best of intentions. The system was set up so that there was no mandatory amount, and you added what you wanted and nothing more. We thought that this was better for the customer, but it quickly became obvious the vast majority of backers want jump-in points at set amounts like a usual KS... and weren't entirely sure about a pledge manager that was open during the campaign.
So, what are we going to do to fix this for you?
We are going to close the campaign, and relaunch it next week. That sucks and it's embarrassing. But ultimately everything else that happens is great for EVERYONE, because this is what happens next:
1.) ALL themes will be shown and unlocked right off the bat. If you want Urban Streets or Infinity, you just go get it, no hoops or delays to choosing what you want. You also know exactly what is on offer.
2.) There will be pledge levels: $50(+), $100(+) and $200(+). The 100 dollar + level will include a set of 3 weathering pigments (really really good ones too - Burning Sands, Dark Earth, and Rust Orange), and the 200 dollar + level will be the pigment set, and a set of 3 genuinely awesome paints. Secret Weapon's Rubber Highlight, Rubber and Tire Black, our most popular colors! At the end of the campaign you will use the Pledge Manager, as usual, to make whatever specific choices you want based on your KS pledge. The Pledge Manger will be available during the campaign for those that would like help figuring out a total pledge level, but that is optional, and you can wait until the end of the campaign to sign up.
3.) Each of the $50(+), $100(+) and $200(+) pledge levels will have 3 shipping zone options
      Americas, Europe (NOT UK)
      AU, NZ, Asia, Pacific
      United Kingdom (NOT Europe)
4.) Any extra themes that are developed during the course of the KS will be added immediately, no stretch, we just give you the option as soon as it is available.
There will be 17 themes live at the time of launch, which doesn't count the licensed product from Corvus Belli and CMON Zombiecide.

Yikes, the resolution did not hold. I tried. Just click the link lol.

Thinking about doing this one; while I found Vance kinda torturous to read, the world is fantastically fun. And I think it'd work really well with the good things I've heard about DCC, so I could give that a try in general.
