Another Canadian update:  If what you order is over $40 it is $5 fee + GST/HST (as applicable).  So you can calculate what our final charges will be from that.

A chart of expected costs has been provided, found here in this post:  https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/89441-reaper-bones-5-enthusiasm-and-commentary-thread/&do=findComment&comment=2020168

Got a guide on how to calculate the GST/HST by chance? Not seeing what the rates are to do so, probably looking in the wrong areas.

EU has all their stuff but hasn't set up yet and will ship in the beginning of July, according to the stream.

The date given for AU was July 5th.

The pledgemanager will open back up for the 2000 people who missed the opportunity to spend their pledge credit. Everyone else will also be able to make another order, but for "late joiner" fees, not OG kickstarter backer prices. The order made through the re-opened pledgemanager will ship idependently from your main order.

Update for this information:  Canadian Orders will not be batch-processed this time, they're mixed in with US & The Americas to be sent out individually in the normal stream direct through UPS.

Does this mean we're going to have to pay import fees on top of everything else?

If it's anything like my last few large orders from Reaper, it may be like what Buglips said: $5CDN handling fee+ 15% of total value (converted in Canadian funds).

But for Kickstarters, in the past the fees were already included in the cost of shipping, which was often between 15-20% of the original pledge.

YMMV as international shipping rules keep changing.

https://www.savvynewcanadians.com/sales-tax-canada/  <--- use this to find out if you're a GST or HST province.  If you're just GST and PST then it's 5%, if it's HST it combines GST plus the provincial rate (for me, this is 15% total).

Thanks muchly. Oof. This could sting.

My other Reaper orders have not been hit with customs fees, but those went through CanadaPost. This is going through UPS, and UPS is despicable for their service charges.

Bones 3 went through UPS in Canada, and I don't recall getting extra fees (and I know how notorious UPS is).

Weirdly, in the last two years, all of my Reaper orders, all through Canada Post were hit with the extra fees.

II'm in Saskatchewan, so I don't have HST. But if it's going to cost me a hell of a lot more than I expect, then I'm afraid this will be the last Bones I'll be able to go in on.

CanadaPost has hit me on shipments from my mom, which included items I made myself, because she put in a high declared value even if it was along the lines of "priceless hand-me-downs and homemade stuff". Had some masks from the US get hit because they hit wrong type of item check mark. Normal Reaper orders never got hit. Bones IV didn't, but Reaper had some sort of arrangement done for that.

UPS sent a collections bill of $30 in March for some Scale 75 paints my mom ordered for me for Christmas, shipped straight here. About $40 worth of paint, and she had already paid shipping. They wanted $30 in brokerage fees.... 3 months after delivering the items. Whiskey tango foxtrot?!

Ahhh dip, looks like Nathavarr is going to trip my order up.  Between that and Blacklist's update it was rough news day for eagerly anticipated Kickstarters.

Oh well, it'll get across town sooner or later.  Until then I'll just have to make do with the literal thousands of minis I've already got.

in my experience if you stay under 100$ US you're a lot less likely to have custom fees

Edit:  the information provided in the below post has been superceded by a chart of expected fees and taxes, found here:  https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/89441-reaper-bones-5-enthusiasm-and-commentary-thread/&do=findComment&comment=2020168

You're BC, aren't you?  I think BC is a GST/PST (provincial sales tax) province, so if that's correct then you ought to only be on the hook for the 5% GST (plus the $5 handling/brokerage fee).  Depending on how much you got that may still be a fair penny, but it's at least better than HST or 15%.  If you're unsure what the difference between HST and GST/PST is, GST is the actual tax on imported goods federally but some provinces combined (harmonized) their sales tax with the GST at point of sale and for imports.  This was basically a deal they made when having them separate cost a combined 19% point of sale in some places, so to ease that but still keep the revenue they then combined it so everyone's overall tax burden is therefore lessened with a smaller number than before for most things but a higher number than before on international imports .  That's why if BC is a GST/PST province then they should be only counting the GST for imports but still GST+PST at point of sale retail.

(tl;dr - your taxes owed on your Kickstarter, percentagewise, should actually be less than if you bought them at your FLGS for the same price)
