kristof65
IME, UPS is being exploitive of individuals and small businesses with infrequent shipping in regards to their processing/brokerage fees for collecting taxes/duties. And not only do I feel they're excessive, the couple of times I've been hit with them on packages coming from Canada, I've been extremely frustrated that the driver's have no means of providing receipts or other verification that they've received the funds. There are ways to get around those fees, such as designating using your own brokerage, which is what the company I contract to does. But they're in the position of shipping and receiving cross border packages just about every single day. But that doesn't really work for individuals and small businesses with infrequent shipping. Plus, even if it was convenient for all you individuals to arrange your own brokerage houses and input your account info into the your shipping info in the PM, I can't imagine the customer service issues that would create for Reaper if something went wrong. 7 hours ago, WhiteWulfe said: Yeah, FedEx is weird. Let's just say I have a three page rant about their payment processing. Let's autodial someone in an age of Call Control (aka anti-auto dialer things you can enable with several mobile phone carriers) and y'know, most not answering if it's someone they don't know (especially at 18:30),and then best of all, I can't even pay through the online portal, I literally have to either give the driver my card, or talk to a customer care rep. Oh, and just having the confirmation number isn't enough, you need to also have an actual email to prove you paid (thankfully my driver just wrote the number down, and kept moving after) FedEx's IT department seems to be stuck in the 90s. In 2006 I started complaining about a time out issue with their website. I've spoilered the actual issue below. I spent 5-6 years complaining about this issue to my account rep, and their customer advocate team. All of them agreed with me it was an issue that should be fixed. On more than one occasion, my account rep and I went through a formal complaint/suggestion process that goes straight to the CEO called "Voice of the Customer" where I wrote a detailed letter with screen shots, descriptions etc. One of those times even resulted in someone from their IT department calling me to discuss the issue where I walked them through it. I finally gave up on trying to get them to fix it in 2012 or 2013. To this day it still does it. Spoiler Basically, your sign in times out, but doesn't let you know it's timed out. So if you leave the website open on say a form to enter shipping info in, it will stay on that form. If you happen to fill the form out and hit submit after you've timed out, you have to sign back in AND then start all over. I asked them to do one of two things - either retain the info and return to the form again after you sign in, as many, many other websites by both bigger and smaller companies can do OR move to a time out screen/pop up a time out notice. I would have been happy with either. 4 1

And sometimes my mom in Oregon would get packages for me, on the assumption that she'd drive up to visit in "near future". But border closed and Oregon went on mega-fire a few too many times, so she moved to New Jersey. No more spur of the moment weekend visits, for two reasons :( hmmm. mega fires or... New Jersey..... must say... not sure which i'd choose sanjay
Super Administrators Reaper_Jon Posted June 24, 2021 Super Administrators Share Posted June 24, 2021 From UPS: ** If you provide an email address, we will send them an email with a link to pay the fees. If not, it’s at delivery. ** So, everyone should be getting their tracking and at the same time a link to pay their fees. should For Canadian's ^^^ 3
R2ED
@StarFyreI'm in Southern Oregon and was part of that evacuation in September. Our HQ at work sadly burned down and I've been at a temporary location since December. With thunder and heat coming to the area, this part of the state is in high anxiety still. I didn't even think of that as a problem for delivery... damn you drought! Give me rain all day, but let's skip the lightning. Also, I'd still take Oregon over NJ. Although Summit was pretty nice. We'd send her a HUGE shipment of sailor moon manga whenever we got it in (that's all she would order haha).

Hopefully UPS actually alerts me this time. Unlike forgetting to tell me about important legal documents I had to pick up that were labeled as urgent >.<
ksbsnowowl
Update from tonight’s Reaper Live; the container that arrived today was largely Bones retail restocks, but did also contain Nathavarr dragon power-ups for Bones 5. Ed said Nathavarr was in the bulk of the orders that would have been held up. Still waiting on GitD Pirate Ships, modern/campground scenics power-up, and the three humanoid busts add-on. Also the second portion of the Shavynra stock for Bones 5 fulfillment. 6

Ambrousis
Glad to hear we're down to one container, hopefully it will show up soon so that no has to be skipped and came back to later when it arrives. Everything I ordered has now arrived, and since I'm in wave 18 I'm estimating mid-August to get my decent size box, hopefully sooner.

pinkymadigan
My guess is the last container comes in on the 28th, delaying the start of delivery by another day. Best laid plans.

Nunae
Going through the pictures again and preparing for my miniatures arrive, I'm again quite glad I got all the encounter sets. It's a great concept and I hope we'll see more of those in the future. I'll most likely start playing D&D in person again in July, and the stuff I'm preparing has a lot of opportunities for those encounter terrain parts and ofc, a ship.
