Reaper Bones 5: Enthusiasm and Commentary thread

Just checked. I was wave 2, not wave 3. Cool. Doesn't really matter since I have stuff in the delayed bin. That's alright. However, someone else needs to try to fit in their box before me now! :P

Wave 1 Delayed for Dragonfolk and RuneWrights here... was watching the stream all excited yesterday until that announcement. Now just checking occasionally to see if there is a container update 😕

So I’m a little confused by the orders processed/wave reports I’m seeing.

I checked and I’m Wave 2 backer 1554.

No delayed items in my pledge. At the end of the stream earlier I saw the orders shipped was at 900+ in the last 24 hours so does that mean being 1554 my order hasn’t shipped? Just trying to figure out if my order was delayed or if I just haven’t gotten a notification with so many wave 3 reports 😬

the anxiety is real right now

Likely just a delay in the notification queue.

Also check your spam folder, and double check the email you used on the PM.

A wave 3 backer in the discord just stated they got a shipping confirmation email.

I’m betting a solid 30-40% of the Wave 1 and 2 backers had a delayed item.

Pure speculation but wave 1&2 are probably the most vested backers and as such would have highest exposure as they choose a wide variety of items. I went for everything but the campground myself. So I wait. Comes around goes around... In  Bones 4 I received my box, day 3, before any wave 3 was shipped. STILL Ill be clicking away in Bones 6 to get a wave 1 ... Im dumb like that 🙂

1. Your backer number does not determine your place in line. It is determined by your wave and then the date/time that you first locked in your initial order in the pledge manager, and then of course things are shifted for people who have the delayed items in their order.

This information has been superseded by additional info from ReaperJon regarding logistical prioritization of orders.

2. Email notifications may be delayed by quite a bit. I know your anxiety will tell you otherwise, but it is too early to be concerned about there being an issue right now.

Also definitely as @pinkymadigan said, doublecheck what email address you used in the pledge manager. It seems that some people thought they'd used their usual email address but had in fact used a secondary one.

As a wave 22 backer last time, it's not easy to sit and wait while you see (what feels like) everyone else getting their stuff,

Fair- though as a Wave 5 backer, I can assure you we definitely aren't all getting it either.  😅

Sadly that isn’t the case here 😕 I’ve been checking that email since this morning. I’ll chalk it up to a UPS delayed email, I’ve seen enough late tracking info get uploaded from my work so I should know better 😛

My UPS email arrived at 10:05 PM yesterday night, hours after Reaper had closed up for the day.

I get the distinct impression that Reaper changed their mind about "whatever hub is ready first will start shipping" and "hubs will only start shipping when everything is received" when it appeared that both the AU and UK hubs would be shipping first........

Suddenly news on the AU and UK hubs went quiet and disappeared into limbo and then the US hub miraculously starts shipping even though stuff is not all there.

If Reaper had said from the beginning that nothing would ship until the US hub was ready then I'd be fair enough......as it is I feel this is a joke, deliberately holding up other countries deliveries just because some americans might complain about not being first in line.

In the AU case I can definitely assign the phrase 'do not assign to malice what can equally be ascribed to stupidity' - I don't think Reaper intended it to look like this for AU backers, it's a performance which is consistent with what I would expect from the AU distributor.

I have a few preview gnomes on my painting workbench. They are great! Small, simple, metal, easy to paint, but full of personality. [/unsolicited review]

Another “large collection of miniatures” kickstarters, reminiscent of the recent Blacklist Games Fantasy kickstarters.

I am tempted, even though it covers a lot of things we already have.
