we can be civil to each other. As you were just now 🙂😇. Sure there are rants on KS, but for each one there are 5 responses.. telling them to pipe down. People have expectations, and just because they were not explicitly guaranteed doesn't make  any less valid (Canada...) Be polite and if you cant say something nice.... get off the internets and go paint something.

Good grief!  The amount of entitled whining and sniveling is off the charts.  One person wants Reaper to compensate them because they're in Wave 1 but other people got their toys first!!  Another claims they took time off from work to camp in front of their computer to be sure they got Wave 1, but other people are getting their toys before them and it's not fair!!  Sheesh...  I also love the people that somehow expect a small US company to be able to predict how International politics and global events are going to play out TWO YEARS IN THE FUTURE, and have everything planned out so that they, the customer, are not inconvenienced,  Grrr...

I don’t think it was that over the top. I mean I’m a fan of reaper, but think if you are disappointed it’s ok to say you are disappointed. I’m not mad at you for calling me out. 🙂 and I’m not that annoyed… just a bit. And yes I did take the day off from work to be part of the experience, support reaper and yes get wave 1. Though I have been wave 1 every tine reaper has had waves and don’t think I have ever actually shipped first. The most egregious was when all of Canada got shipped before any of the US did. But even that was not so bad… though I did post on the last page that I was a bit annoyed at that too. 🙂

And I just got my shipping notice. It’s in 2 shipments. Total is only 15.5 pounds. 1 is 11.9 and the other is 3.4 which doesn’t add up… 😅 both supposed to be here on 7/7

for retail, they do come unassembled.  For the Kickstarter fulfillment, they were glued together.  They had only just released to retail when this happened, so I didn't know they came unassembled.

That was the first and only time I had tried it, and my attempt was based off suggestions I had seen online (possibly even here.)

IIRC, I still couldn't get the glue unbonded.

Any idea on assembly status for Bones V? Really hoping unassembled. Some of the preassembled ones were done really badly in IV.

Actually it is a bolt thrower not a ballista. Ballistae hurl spherical ammunition, hence the name (Ballista).

 

Material Notes: This model is the squashy bendy grey bones material. Sadly, this makes it hard? to assemble. It is not completely put together. It may need to be trimmed in places.  The tabs are very very shallow, the box frame area is out of square, this may need pinning. 

 

Ya’ll have fun figuring out the name-numbers of the figures I used to show the scale. (One of them is Rictur…he built my wet palette)

Keep in mind that despite Canada having their items shipped first, we received our packages nearly a week later than people in the States. It's sent earlier because it takes time to cross the border and then be processed by the distributor, and then it makes its way through couriers before it arrives.

Not during that one. 🙂 which I think was one of the controversies at that time. Reaper (being good) sent all of Canada first with the thoughts that by the time they shipped the US, they should arrive around the same time… but… shipping went much quicker than anticipated and Canada in general got there deliveries before the US had started. There was a big controversy at the time and lots of angry people posting. I… 🙂 posted that I was a bit annoyed (see a trend) that Canada wave 12 or 13 people were getting stuff and posting pictures before wave 1 US went out… which really made wave 1 US wave 14 North America… but meh for the most part it wasn’t a huge deal. 

Also, I hope you guys don’t think I am upset or speaking negatively of reaper. I’m just posting mainly because shipping has got me excited about stuff…

it looks like shipping was supposed to be from Denton, but actually shipped from inside Canada… so arrived in record time.

29.4 Pounds of Bones 5 just arrived!  One corner of the box totally smashed in….the cardboard is not the sturdiest. 

Sir Edgar conducts a thorough investigation before allowing me to check contents. Fingers crossed all inside is ok.
