Neat!  I go on vacation tomorrow... and UPS doesn't really do vacation holds anymore.

 

But my box arrived today!

Twitch stream updates:

 

Ed guesses they have done about 5000 fulfillment orders to date.  They are set up to do about 1500 per day but it has been the "biggest CF" and they are trying something new tomorrow to speed things up. 

 

The container has cleared inspection, they still do not know when it will arrive in Denton.

 

AUS is still on track to begin July 5

 

UK last container might be delivered tomorrow. It has been sitting in the UK, and Reaper has been trying to get ahold of it, but there was some confusion, the holding warehouse first told them they did not have it, then said it had been sitting for a month and Reaper now owes rent on it.... They plan to have that resolved asap. 

 

One order of the GITD figureheads was sent in normal grey plastic.  (Not sure how that is going to be handled)

 

Ron said it's possible they may not offer figureheads in Bones 5.5.  Ed says the Hand of Disapproval was very popular and might be included.  They are still working on the list. 

 

It's been cool in Texas. Ron said the pace they have been working at is unsustainable once it starts to get hotter, like after the holiday.

Slight clarification on the reaper figureheads. 
 

They were supposed to all be glow in the dark (one order of 1500 is cheaper to produce than two orders of 500 and 1000, for example).

 

However, there was a miscommunication/wrongly checked box on a form. All the grim reaper figureheads coming with the GitD ship will be Glow-in-the-Dark. 
 

But, all the separately-ordered grim reaper figurehead power-up add-ons ended up being made in gray bones. 
 

In an ideal world, this end result is probably what most backers would have wanted from the start (I did).  But I understood the logistics of costs of production, and paint would cover the GitD just as well, so no real skin off my nose. That it ended up being the way it is was just a happy accident (for me, at least). Though, I’m sure there are backers out there that were planning to paint the GitD reaper as a statuette, and had paint schemes in mind to let the GitD bleed through.

If they'd only offered the Grim Reaper figurehead in gray Bones, I still would have bought it.  But I would have preferred the promised GitD.  I like GitD things, but I did not choose the ginormous Ghost Ship.  It is super easy to use paint to make a GitD mini look non-GitD.  I think it is difficult to get a strong GitD effect with just paint, though.

It’s in Felixstowe?! OH’s has a shop in Felixstowe, perhaps I should tell him to go check on the container while he’s there 😂

I agree, doubly so that for sooooo long it was specifically mentioned the only OFFICIAL source of information was the Kickstarter updates...  Where that info doesn't always seem to make it, because "it's been said several times on Twitch already".

Gem Dragon and Shadow Dragon. Shown with townsfolk for scale. Interestingly, the base of the Gem Dragon is hollow so those crafty folk can figure out how to electrify it. With the Shadow Dragon, the base is a free standing rock without any part of the dragon sculpted on it, nor any indents that I could see.

It actually looks like the weather's going to hold for a week or so maybe? So there's a little more time they can work without being broiled alive but yeah, it's going to get hot sooner rather than later.

The little sets look fantastic. Encounter at Mandupar Pass is Heavy! 

 

I was a little worried about getting held up by the holiday weekend but the shipping was amazingly quick as I am in Delaware and from a Tuesday pull to a Friday arrival is amazing. Im hoping for a quick arrival of the final container and a quick ship for everyone held up. Ive picked every Bones kickstarter and still have stuff from Bones 1 thru 4 left to paint but im eager to dig into this one. Some amazing figures in this kickstarter.

Mandipur Pass is a beautiful big hunk of plastic. I love how dynamic the sculpted head above the cave is! 
   And I wasn’t sure about the Townsfolk, but thought I could use some for Siege Engine crew. I’m so glad I got them now!  They’ll be perfect for crew, and their passive stance will make them great captives too. As well as the obvious NPC function.  Beautiful little characters.

Final UK container is somewhere near Felixstowe (wherever British Customs leaves a container that they are done with).
