Cyradis
It seemed like the last container was at least state side, so I doubt it will be held up for six months. I'd bet similar to Ratmaster here - a month on the long end if my guess, more likely sooner. Things are moving - even if they're not as fast as we'd like. We haven't gotten Suez-Evergiven'd here ;) 2

Update 123 said that the last container is just waiting to be put on a rail car. I read some really interesting articles from JOC dot COM (Journal of Commerce) talking about what created the Long Beach terminal backlog, why it is causing massive delays, and what they are doing about it. (They have had to add acres of land to store all of these containers, can one imagine the cost of California Real Estate just to house shipping containers awaiting transport - ouch!) I am waiting and hoping. I am also really excited for a Ghost Pirate ship. 🙂 9

R2ED
@AussieAusborngreat pics and instruction on some small parts to watch for. If anyone else wants to post "good to know" GTK stuff, that'd be good for all of us. The casts look superb. Bars on some look pretty beefy, so that might be something i have to adjust for in my current basing techniques. Not bad, just different. Dragons... dude. So good. I was wondering how I'm going to clean the portcullis sections. I saw some excess lines in there, which do not look fun to clean out. And yet, maybe they won't be noticed once painted. Thanks for the photos! Hyped and plenty enthused! 5
ksbsnowowl
@AussieAusborn These are great pics, thank you. I assume the grid is 1 cm squares? That Goldar mini looks great. He’ll make an excellent D&D Goliath; just added one to my cart. Nice paint job on yours. Where did you get the sword for the weapon swap? I can’t wait to get my small herd of War Mammoths. 😁 9
AussieAusborn
@R2EDThanks! And yeah, the dragons are such a treat. As soon as I saw a preview of Valfuryx, I knew I was backing this kickstarter. It's one of the coolest designed dragon minis I've ever seen. And yeah, the moldlines inside the grate for Gallowgard will be troublesome. I'm wondering if I can get away with hiding them with some foliage...at least some of them I agree, everything I have has nice details with nice and sharp features. And I'm surprised at how much I like the bars; I bought a couple sets of bases to replace everyone's, but seeing them next to my other minis, they're not out of place enough to bother me. Which is a double win, because I recently got some minis that DO need those bases! I do want to clarify re/ moldlines in general: on all of the human sized figures I received, they're much better than I'm used to the various Bones lines being, except for maybe the skeletons. The bigger kits are made with a somewhat softer plastic (definitely not nearly as soft as original Bones), and the skeletons were done in that same plastic, contrary to the sets of people. I haven't yet started removing any moldlines, but when I do, I'll post a comment with what I find works best. @ksbsnowowlThank you! And yes, 1cm squares, that's correct. I also used Goldar as a goliath, and he's superb. The sword is from the Reaper Fantasy Weapons Pack, SKU: 03560. It doesn't have a very long handle, but since I wasn't replacing the hand, it was long enough to work for a two-handed sword. I kinda wish I had gotten another mammoth, now that you've said that I am planning on making both a howdah for med/ lrg humanoids, and a saddle for huge ones. That way I can get some versatility out of the beast. 10
Nunae
Can anyone who already got theirs talk about the Bones Black to Bones Classic thing? A person in the KS comments (yes, I know) is apparently surprised how much of it isn't Bones Black. According to that comment, the expansion packages are Bones Black, Core Set is 50/50 and everything else (encounters and AddOns) are normal Bones.

I thought most everything was supposed to be Bones Black as well but that is not what people are saying on facebook either. Edit: This is from the FAQ on the Bones 5 Kickstarter page: What will be cast in Bones Black? The Core Set, the Expansions Sets, and some of the options. Most of the largest pieces will be cast in classic Bones. Last updated: Wed, October 30 2019 7:49 AM AEDT Edited July 4, 2021 by Pochi

Still waiting on mine, but just by going on the piccys people have posted here, at least 3 encounter sets and several add-ons appear to be Bones Black.
Cintra
My understanding is, the Bones Black material can be cast with varying shades. Makes me wonder of people are judging from the shade of the plastic, rather than the other characteristics of the material.

Did those articles say what the "normal" delayed turnover time has become? It does. I’m hesitant to post it as I don’t want to mislead the causal viewer of the forums. However, this is the name of the article and, for me, when googling it, it shows the days in the summary on Google: Long Beach terminals step up to clear clogging rail containers. I will say that we are long past the average mentioned in the article. Granted the article was written 11 June 2021, so things may have changed. Also, this is a third party writing about the situation, there could be many factors leading to specific delays for Reaper. @AussieAusborn, I agree awesome pictures. Also thanks to @Chris Palmer for your pictures as well. Thanks to any others who have posted pictures that I may be forgetting.

The container is already really late, but the backlog in port doesn't look like it's going to be clearing up anytime soon, so we have no idea when the rest of us will actually get our stuff

I can see the anxiety is causing you a lot of distress. You say you don't have a huge backlog of figures to paint, but you do have some, right? Instead of focusing on Bones5, which you have no control over, how about turning your attention to something you DO have control of? There must be something you CAN do, like painting figures, or drawing, or scrubbing the shower, or yanking weeds out of the ground. Even a short term project can help calm that agitation building up inside you. Do something you know you can finish and reap that satisfaction and peace of mind, if just for a few hours.
