Reaper Bones 5: Enthusiasm and Commentary thread

I believe - when the software is cooperating - that they go by your wave number, not your order numbers. I don't think order numbers have ever been something Reaper looks at; so many people do multiple orders.

My understanding is that the database looks at Wave, and then the # or date of your first order to determine the order the tickets get printed within each wave.

That does seem to be the way it worked in B3 & B4, and that's how Reaper said it would work - for both of those projects, they specifically talked about your order within the wave was established by when you closed out your pledge, so people were anxious to do it asap as soon as the PM opened.

My speculation here - and it is pure speculation - is that something minor changed when they reset and fancied up the database/web interface between B4 & B5, and that, when combined with the need to print orders without certain items, and then the resets, that something has screwed up and is sorting by the wrong fields, or in the wrong order in the fields.

One of the things that I thought was fun with Bones IV was seeing how many pounds everyone’s shipments weighed. When I got my notice today it said 24 pounds, and I thought that seemed rather small for what I ordered. Then I saw the next email with another 32 pounds for a total just over 56 pounds between the two packages. When I told my wife she said that my bones order weighed about as much as our seven-year-old! 😆

I was looking forward to two hopeful deliveries this month one came two weeks earlier than expected (My wife had our third child last week - mom and baby are both doing well)! My Bones V should be here next week.

For what it’s worth for anyone trying to keep track of how things are moving, I was wave 1, two ships (1 reg 1 gitd), fairly large order - only a couple items I didn’t order and a few duplicates, first locked-in at order 259.

Very excited that they are adding cannons to the 5.5 PM.

That does make sense. I suppose I assumed they maybe went by backer number after wave number, since that seems to be something Kickstarter supplies, but perhaps the order thing makes more sense. They did keep the PM open for much longer than usual, so it's possible that contributed to mucking things up.

Wave?  Did you get a ship?

Still waiting for mine.

News this evening.... all KS shipping is suspended due to a Fire Marshall inspection. Reaper has to rearrange some things in the warehouse to comply with safety regulations.  Shipping is expected to resume on Monday or Tuesday morning.  An update will be sent tomorrow.

Well I hope mine slipped out just in time.  I have 2 packages in the order and they both show as shipped.

And the order contains 2 ships, one normal, 1 GitD.  I couldn't make up my mind....

And the combined total was not near as impressive as some here, just 37 pounds total, given how often 24 comes up, I strongly wonder if that isn't the weight of 2 ships?

Thanks! Not really an issue just a mild inconvenience. Wasn't really sure if the regular channels were the right course.

Honestly, I still think they're knocking it out of the park despite all the issues they've had. Even Babe Ruth couldn't hit a home run if someone gave him a rubber bat.

I like your wishlist. I think that there is another forums thread for wishlist items - Reaper pulls ideas from that one. Enter these ideas in there!

Yup; 'Bones we'd like to see'  :

Wow, fire marshal....in my long and delay filled history of kickstarter, that's a first!

Not sure what I'm going to live stream today while working....

Now I'm disappointed that my goodies didn't make it out, but that's strictly in the "increasing my hoard"/"like to obsess over tracking" kind of way. (I've come to the realization that at the rate I paint, I effectively have an infinite number of minis already. And it's not like I haven't bought 20* other minis this week....)

So I asked this question TWICE on LIVE, and no response so I am asking here:

Can we please get a page with all the bones 5 stuff showing pictures like we did on bones 4? It would help greatly to inventory our stuff, especially NONE of the power ups are on Kickstarter AND they are NOT in PM 5.5

Also, will Bust collection come to retail seeing as it is not in PM 5.5, which I assume was because it was not popular?

@Reaper_Jonand @Reaper Ron can you help on this? Thanks.

They said if not in 5.5 then it will be in retail in 2021.

No shipping notice email or on the PM. Guess the odds that my stuff will show up while I'm out of town next weekend just went up!  I'm sure my wife will be thrilled when two big boxes  of Bonesy goodness show up! ::P: May end up having to sleep in the box...

I received my shipping notice yesterday about 6pm.

My breakdown stats:

Wave 1 /with one regular and one glow ship

2 boxes, one is 24 lbs and the other is 30.1lbs

What got me in trouble was that the pledge manager was open for so long, that every payday, I would log is and place a smaller "add-on" order from my initial pledge and it all just added up 🙂

Pledge Manager stats:

14 separate orders

Price: little over $1,200

Shipping: about $75

Delivery stat estimate:

1 very surprised and cranky wife when 54 pounds of plastic people and accessories arrives

That kept me out of trouble by keeping my initial pledge down to cover just the core and a ship.  The payday purchases were within my monthly hobby budget.   By the time the pledge manager closed, I was at nearly $1k, including shipping.

My wife's reaction is that she can't understand how I can handle paying for something I won't see for years - she's the type who places an online order, then goes and camps by the mailbox.

I received my pledge yesterday. I had a very small order, and a pleasantly small box. It seems like the Dragonfolk and the Rune Wights were what delayed mine.

I hope everyone else receives their shipments soon. Cheers.

The Living Dead x1

Halloween Free-bees x1

Mounted Wraiths x1

Murkillor x1

Dragon Folk x1

Yokai x1

The Spiders of Emrith Kul x1

Rune Wights x1

There are a few items I regret not getting, but honestly I'm fine with picking them up in retail.

I wonder if the fire marshal was in Wave 1 with a Ghost Ship and was mad that his stuff wasn't sent out yet so dropped the hammer LOL

That said, I somehow squeaked into getting my stuff with tracking before it was shut down! Scheduled to arrive next Tuesday. Hopefully it's not early, as we're starting to go back to the office for my current job on Monday, and we have a lot going on this weekend and I'd rather not have it just sitting around on our porch or in front of our garage. It does seem the doubled the weight on the packages, or if not the ship weighs FAR more than I was expecting LOL I'll just be excited to get them

If you're looking for role-playing games that are concise enough to crack open and start playing right away, yet sufficiently robust and evocative to support longer campaign play as well, you've come to the right place.

Welcome to the Kickstarter for the first three Tri-Stat System Mini-Game Boxed Sets – a new line of compact and complete role-playing adventure games that are compatible with Dyskami Publishing's flagship BESM Fourth Edition anime and manga RPG. Tri-Stat System creator Mark MacKinnon has distilled and customised the complete system into distinct streamlined versions for each of the three adventure games – targeting their specific genres and background settings in easy-to-understand boxed sets.

Each of the three role-playing adventure games contains the following components:

a 32-page full-colour rulebook that gives your group everything you need to play, with sections on character abilities, magical spells/paranormal powers, weapons and equipment, enemy encounters, items and equipment, and guidelines for integrating the Tri-Stat System game with the compatible BESM Fourth Edition RPG
6 brief story scenarios so you can start playing adventures right away
6 pre-generated player character sheet handouts, with game stats and illustration
4 custom-etched dice specific to that boxed set

You can pledge for one, two, or all three of these boxed sets during the Kickstarter.

      ...

I know know nothing about these creators or the system, but I decided to back for Pixies entirely because of that picture of the corgi. 👀
