funded Reaper Bones 5: Enthusiasm and Commentary thread

Still inventorying my shipment.  Ship is all there and mostly assembled.  Core set is in final phases and missing dice.  All others are there but individual pieces are not inventoried.

I am still doing inventory, I have gotten through the core set and the dungeon dwellers expansion.   The minis look great, really impressed.   In the dungeon dwellers set there was only 2 minis with any significant mold lines, the succubus and one of the goblins. 

 

Found one error so far,  my smallest dragon in the core set had 2 base+head sprues and no wings.

Good for all you people who got your stuff direct from Reaper US who clearly pulled every effort to ship your stuff asap.

Unlike for the rest of us, as we are still waiting on Reaper UK and AU with no idea how long it will take to fulfill.

Wave 1 UK, low order number, and still nothing. And NO lock down or restrictions in the UK as an excuse.

Just an acute lack of planned manpower by the looks of it.

Something like 25% of Uk hub orders (maybe 750 out of 3000 orders?) processed in 2 weeks ...... although the lack of official updates with any real info makes it hard to be sure, other than a lot of wave 1 people still waiting....

I got the email that all USA shipping was completed. Yay! 😁

Wait... wait... No box arrives... 😐

Went to the pledge manager... apparently my order was not "finalized" 😲

I could've sworn I made my choices and entered credit card info for the extras... 😠

Whip off a quick email to Reaper... They say if there's no order history, then no order was placed... 🥺

But the pledge $$ is still there and I can still choose rewards and have them shipped early next year... 😏

Go into the PM and look for the stuff I want... wait, where's Brinewind Extras? 🤨

Am I missing a page or are some items no longer available? 🤔

Yes, there are certain items that, for various reasons, aren't available in the re-opened version of the KS.

Some items were shut off before the pledge manager closed, after the end of the KS campaign.  AFAIK there were no Brinewind "extras" only the Expansion set which had to be bought as a whole.

 

Reaper did a massive publicity campaign to remind people to check their pledges and make sure they had finalized things, because they could see that thousands of people made the same mistake you did. 

 

I thought I had ordered both paint sets, but no, I got two of one and none of the other.  And now the one I did not get is not available.

Out of curiosity, did anyone get an ogre porter with a cat that DOES have ears, or is the figure blorped for everybody?

Oh man I'd've liked to have bought a few more Brinewind Extras. The ship needs more cargo!

I asked the question on the Facebook page, and the general consensus from folks was they all are all that way with stubby ears and a mushy face. (Several folks showed photos of theirs as well.) Even the artist, Chris Spotts, who painted the one that appears on the Brinewind box said he needed to build up the ears with putty and add a nose on the one that appears on the box.

That's really disappointing, I'm considering it to be a real fail in quality (as well as the shrine to Maersuluth). I'm hoping that Bones 6 will be mostly in Bones USA, it seems to have the highest fidelity of any product they've made so far.

Mine doesn't even have ears or a face.  Just a round blob.

Oof I better go look at mine, I've washed mine today but didn't look.closely

 

Edit: okay so mine has a face and indicators of eyes at least,ears are there but tiny, there is a hint of a snout

I will be perusing the familiar & crazy cat lady metal bins for a replacement at RCon. Sadly, even thou they are metal, Crazy cat lady's cats are bit eh as well. Thou she has one that might make for a direct replacement. I'll be allot better then "Blob cat"
