Friday night and Sat were my only hobby time on the weekend.  I got the Snowtroopers and Rebel Veterans washed Friday night and primed on Saturday.  No pics, but shockingly, I used white :poke:

Sunday was of course Mothers Day so spent lots of time with my wife and cooked a lot.

And Monday night is game night, and even with playing remotely, I can't paint and game at the same time.

I did finally get a Mando printed with a scale that I like for SWL though....

I think that will do.  Now if  only I could remember what I scaled him too

I "think" it was 35mm total height....maybe.....I really should write things down.....

I mostly like them, but the gloves need to be a little different I think.....might use Leather White as the highlight, but needs a darker grey or something to begin with.....

Didn't have a lot of time to paint tonight, but did a wash on "test out the paint scheme" guy, and did a quick basecoat on the pants and boots of the other 5.

I'm leaving the heavy gunner guy until I see how I'm doing for time.  I only need a unit of 4 for the contest,  but will at least try to get the 6 normalish guys done.

I have a 5 day weekend starting now, so hopefully I'll get a couple hours in each day, if my neck holds up.

Have done a few sessions over the last day. Took pictures but didn't get around to posting. So...

20200515_IMG_0532.jpg.2e95b372b36046b1bccd8fa36bd08423.jpg

Did some leather straps and belts (MSP Leather Brown) and then black based the weapons, which off course gets black over some other bits...

20200516_IMG_0534.jpg.02ee6e5a283cd885c311400cd29bd11b.jpg

Started today with some clean up of the black. Then cleaned up a few annoying mold lines.  Then put a second coat on the boots and pants.

Also put some primer on the big gun pieces, and put a layer on the boots and pants of the big gun guy, since I still had some on my palette.

And now I've added some Vallejo texture paste to the bases.  Need to leave that to dry for a while.....

Got a little more done.

20200516_IMG_0540.thumb.jpg.fc0e773dba974787648e6ae318dec56d.jpg

Bases got an initial coat of Muddy Soil.

Then the commander on the right there got a second coat of Ginger Cookie on his ...coat.  And the machine gun guy got a first coat on his vest.

My shoulder is toast for the day, so I'm done for now.  Hopefully it will feel better in the morning.

Vests and backpacks touched up.

Just the under sweater things and scarves, and the gloves, left to touch up before wash time.  Heavy gunner guy needs a lot more but he's still getting first coats as the colours get used.

Post wash I picked out the 4 I'm going to focus on first, since the contest requires a min squad of 4.

Highlighted the boots and pants, then did the guns. (leaving the radio thingy until later as I'm not sure how I want it yet)

Not sure if I'll get anything done tonight, as it is D&D night.  Depends how late we run.

I think they need to be done for Friday, so need to keep pushing....

Got highlighting done on the coats/vests and sweaters/scarves today.

Need to do: faces, goggles, leather straps/belts, gloves, all the little accent bits on coats, backpacks, etc, and finish bases.

Tonight was the big make or break night....faces.  I think I did pretty good, for me :poke:

Eyes came out ok, mustache and beard I thought went well.  The colours on the Sullustan seem to be in the right range.
Goggles came out better than I'd hoped.  I've never done a light colour lens and could have tried to go all graduated and stuff, but a thin Pale Green over Maggot White, and then glossed looks pretty good to me.

Still to go, leather belts and straps, gloves, commander's radio or whatever that is, the little accents buts, and the bases.

Well, I think they are pretty much done except for finishing the bases and putting a little weathering on them, some mud and such.

I've started the bases but I'll wait until I'm finished tomorrow to take more pics.
