Popular Post Dr Boom
Having finished the red translucents, I've now moved into my blue period. I've been avoiding these for a while as I've been a little hesitant about how to approach them. This large elemental worked out very easy to paint - one of those miniatures where rough overbrushing and drybrushing pays off. The blue translucent works well as it's just the right colour to suggest depths in the places it shows through.

Rigel
The splash burst on the base really sells it! Nice work. 1

Disciple of Sakura
This looks really good. I like what you were going for with the base, though I'm a little sad that there isn't any dimension to it. Like maybe use some gloss modeling texture or something to create a little bit of a raised wave? 2
Darcstaar
Base is what sets this apart. Very well done.

However my sculpting-fu is not at its strongest so I thought I'd stick with a 2D approximation using a bit of wet blending.
