And with this I will transfer the Questor Robes to @ManvsMini who will interrogate you during March.

Thank you all for your answers and participation, love this crowd!

I find that litigation is very poor for applying paint, lawyers are just too greasy to be useful for the hobby. ::P:

I suspect a Wizard pulled a prank on my spelling!

Corrected it now.

Hmm...I wonder which Wizard it was? <_<

I do all my damage with brushes.

I use small wooden skewers sometimes to paint dots ( like eyes or reptile skin).

Sometimes I use a little sponge for washes and such.

Picked up a micron pen lately for writing on scrolls etc.

I use makeup sponges and bits of packing sponge for various effects. I don't have pics immediately available, but on the Tau I posted a few weeks back I used a sponge to stipple on the black.

It depends on what I'm working in. Brushes are my main tool, but I do have sponges of various types on hand (that I haven't used yet), and for cardstock terrain (and probably MDF accent details) I use Molotow markers.

Airbrush is one of those "hopefully soon" kind of things.

I'm a brushes only person.

I did try pens once (I'd read they were good for doing eyes and freehand) but wasn't impressed.

For miniatures, I only use brushes.

When my wife and I painted our house before we moved in, in two rooms, we painted with brushes and then dabbed with sponges to create visual effect.

Rather than share the same last few minis I finished, here's one that is unfinished but iirc just needs to be based at this point:

Micron pigma pens for pupils and small details.  I have used a toothpick for fine dots, but really, a good paintbrush is better.  I intended on trying my hand with a sponge on my current batman bust but have yet to do it.

I use cosmetic sponge wedges for lots of purposes. My lucky skull shotglass water well...I’ve had it for like 20 years and now that I don’t drink it serves a higher purpose. Synthwave. I can’t paint without synthwave or doom metal at an almost ignorable level.

I have never painted a miniature with anything but a brush. But I may branch out a bit.

I have used a foam sponge on a stick for painting terrain. It was something I cobbled together from the foam cushion out of a blister pack.

By skewer are you thinking a bamboo kabob skewer, a bamboo cocktail skewer, or what Texans would call a toothpick? (Skewers exist in many sizes and several materials)  This is not my work, but it was done entirely with a toothpick (or twenty), but I did see it and photograph it in person:604CB97F-3B3B-4254-A112-30D703E932C5.thumb.jpeg.87237d37441358d19469f09ff5bbd833.jpeg

This is all pointillism.

I'm mostly brush and airbrush.  I've used micron pens for panel lining on Zentraedi Battle Pods, and I've tried them on eyes.  I 've used bits of foam for weathering.  Toothbrushes have been used for weathering as well, with pigments.....

Thanks for a great month of questions @Glitterwolf!

Welcome to Getting to Know You, NOVEMBER 2020 Edition.

The rules as they currently stand ( we all know most of you rebellious lot will ignore most of it, but one can try)

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, and random forum members are all chomping at the bit to step in and post one...
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted between 8:00 hours and 12:00 hours CET. ( Central European Time)
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me...
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions will usually take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday or Saturday.
