If ANYONE has a problem, and needs someone to "step in" and finish an assignment, let me know as soon as possible. I have seven good people who have offered to help me if there is a chance of someone being disappointed. Just let me know..... Thanks to all for the rapid "replies". Have fun painting....... FuzzyIzmit
Wow, those sound perfect for shipping minis! I wish I could find a stash like that!
Lady Tam
You can buy 6X6 boxes at Wal-mart for like .69 cents. I pick 'em up there. Or every now and then I hit my Hubby's uncld up for boxes, he works for Ace hardware and is more than willing to give the empties. So, you could even try a small hardware store on a day when ther shipments come in. LT
Lady Tam
You people aren't done yet?!?!?!? Well some of us had to look up refernce photos first. After all everything has to be "just so". Maybe, I will get it done this coming weekend. Taking a fourday vacation, hope to make it to the KC Ren faire on one of the days (Sat or Sun) LT
pae
You can get priority mail boxes from the USPS free. Here is a link that takes you to the ordering page for 25 7x7x6 boxes. They are no charge, and get shipped to you for free. You just can't use them for international shipments, and if you are going to mail them, they must be sent Priority mail. A mini in priority mail is $3.85, unless it's a bigger mini that weighs more than a pound (or whatever the cutoff is). They do have other sizes as well, but these are the ones I use for shipping minis.
Qwyksilver
Now if only I could convince the USPS that where I am shipping to isn't overseas. It is over a large ocean, but no sea is involved.

Chastity
well, I've got my narrowed down to 4 choices. Now I just have to go to my FLGS(s) tomorrow and see if they have any of them.
Qwyksilver
My mini for the exchange is all picked out (after I went to my FLGS to by another one for my personal collection). He's all primed, and the colours are roughly picked out. Now I just have to wait for a new batch of brushes to arrive at the house. Series 7 goodness, 60% off at Dick Blick. Best part, my wife is buying five of them for me as an early birthday gift. Oh man, wives that support our obsessions are soooo great. primeval
Thanks for that link Flynn! Just ordered some of the boxes. Got my miniature picked out, just have to base it and prime it tomorrow.
awong
I've got mine picked out...whew, my FLGS only carries a limited rack of Reaper figs. The two I picked out from my long 'possibles' list are both dated '01...couldn't find any of the newer items But, I'm happy with the cast, seems pretty clean. Cut off the 'brocolli' and I'm about to pin the feet (for the base). Now for a nice color scheme and some quality time to paint! Thanks AWhang
pae
Wow...sounds like we have a bunch of overachievers here. I've received my assignment. That's as far as I've gone. I have picked out a couple of minis to paint as gifts for some people, but I haven't started on those, either. I guess I really need to finish the last two or three minis for the Spring Exchange before I start anything else, though. Two are almost finished, but I'm not happy with the results of either. I might start two more tomorrow. Then a third depending on whether or not the USPS coughs up one that seems to be lost.
