I decided to start this instead of ziba until I can figure out assembly.

Lots of base coats. I might have time to line tonight and touch up. The arm is actually still unattached. I will probably glue after lining/touch ups.

Apparently the mini has been renamed from Ashana to Aasa?

I'm not intending to go too crazy on this one, especially seeing as I don't know where a lot of my brushes are, and the ends are split on the ones I'm using. I don't have great brush control generally, but it's even harder to line stuff. Eventually I'll be working some pinks into the smoke (and the flower), some highlights and shadows in the hair and skin, and then cloth.

Currently debating a glaze of skin tone/cloth to make the skirt sheer near the bum and thighs (no see-through brassiere, though, gold scale bikini is heavy and needs to be solid).

Sword will get some palomino yellows and eventually maybe a drybrush of metallic gold in some spots and sepia wash.
Skin will get some pinks in highlights, and shadows will get some breonne blue mixed into my base (violet and LED blue). I'm debating some of my smoke pink as lip/eye makeup shade
Hair will get Breonne blue and some lightening of the LED blue with the arctic blue
Smoke will get the same highlight as the cloth - a mix of vampire skin, a mint green sample, and arctic blue (more indigo than ghost white, but still blue). Near the lamp the smoke will get some pinks and purples and an off-black. Any thoughts here?

Currently smoke is a mix of my cloth highlight with rubber highlight and rubber mixed in to darken it. A nice green/grey

Did some skin and clothes and smoke. Not sure I want to spend time to add pink now.

May do hair tonight still need to do metallics and eyes

Did some metal, touched up the face and added meh eyes. Brush too damaged to do more. Game was cancelled. Will see tomorrow but this may be it before show off.

She is coming along very nicely!  I also struggle with keeping brushes in great shape, and have yet to figure out the actual trick to giving them any sensible longevity! 

The smoke effect is perfectly subtle, looking forward to what the next steps are!  Also, props to the designer, making the smoke heavy enough to settle to the ground to provide additional support!  When I first saw it my thought was, how the heck is that tiny lamp going to support her!

In case I have some better brushes, I just dont know where they are - the fallout of being in boxes for 2+ years as dishonest contractors refuse to finish work and leave us unable to organize.

 

Next step is gluing (done!) and show off.
