I'm vaguely familiar with celtic, hindu, and a smattering of native american (north american) myths. 8 hours ago, ManvsMini said: Question for March 21st & 22nd: Show us what's on the painting table, and what you're hobbying on. And a few things I've put on the back burner hiding in corners. 10
CashWiley
The studio is closed due to new cat. Letting him get used to the new house and calm down a bit before exposing the wonderland of destruction that is the studio. I haven't been drawing since last year due to a persistent shoulder issue (that I can't get looked at until things stabilize in healthcare), so I've been thinking hard about getting back into painting minis (and also maybe small 5x7 landscapes), where I paint from the small joints (I draw from the shoulder). 6

My paint area is currently my assembly area, as I'm looking to get all my Star Wars Legion assembled and primed before cleaning up and switching over to painting again. As well, it currently has all the resin prints @robinhsent over.... The mat is green, and one of the bottles in the first pic is Ghoul Skin, which is greenish (and one of the 4 colours in the Camo for that CAV Starhawk VI lurching in the background) 10

What happens if you draw small? Ever tried? Everything I draw is all hand - fingers - wrist. Here is a sample: That circle was drawn with a plastic lid from something*. The whole drawing is a bit less than 4 inches diameter. *peanut butter jar maybe.

What’s on mine, at the moment, is a disastrous mess, and my task today is to see if I can clean it up enough to actually work on it. If I actually get that far, I expect that I will be working on one of the three 12-figure units in the black primer (clockwise from top left Ral Partha medieval spearmen, Ral Partha medieval crossbowmen, ancient Minifig Mythic Earth true orc archers) or a group of Ral Partha personalities, exemplified by the thief with the big hat, with a quick black wash over white primer. But now it’s time to stop talking about it and go put some things away. 10

Okay, but I'm not responsible for any demonic entities or whatnot that you wind up making recoil in horror.... ^"Painting" area... Or at least the central parts of it. So much of it is taken up by paint bottles, and various other things... >.>;;; ^"Assembly" area. Quotes used because when that Iron Heart Artisans order comes in (and I've assembled all of them), this is where most of my paint will be stored. Yup, the monitor from my old benching setup is still there - I've been tempted to set that up as an extra monitor for my gaming rig, but we shall see. Would let me watch movies, or perhaps get involved with Google Hangouts again though, so we shall see how everything plays out as time goes by. 8

That might change when I start having to work from home soon thanks to the TAP, but otherwise... 8

I get as much painting done at lunch at work as I do at home, in ordinary times, and I think that part of that comes from the necessary discipline of only having a few figures at a time to work on, a few colors from the limited box of work paint out to paint them with, and a need to clean up promptly after 45-50 minutes of painting so as to get back to work work. Once I actually started digging and putting things away again, it didn’t take as long to clear my desk as I had feared. Well, cleared enough for painting... I was a rough week at work trying to deal with working from home and running a high priority project at the same time. But at least I'm still earning a paycheck, so I really can't complain. Thank you.
