Cyradis
9 hours ago, ManvsMini said: Question for March 24th: What is your primary form of exercise? It had been 2x a week doing weightlifting and bodyweight exercises with a trainer at the gym, and 2x a week with my friend doing light weights, body weights, and running on the treadmill. Now I am attempting to get a routine with bodyweight exercises at home and jugs of orange juice (or water in gallon OJ bottles) as free weights. I'm sometimes going out for a run or a bike ride after dark through the neighborhoods when no one is out so I can maintain distance. I hadn't been biking really before, but now's the time to practice in a way - no cars on the street for me to worry about as I get better with it. Bright side: I am pretty much in the best shape I've ever been in, going into this. I was able to run 2 miles in 20mins on the treadmill last month, which is more than I imagined I'd ever be able to do. Month before was first I'd even tried to run a 10min-mile... and I did. I've had weak lungs my whole life, so sustaining that was a big relief. And I can now deadlift or squat more than my bodyweight! Not that it is a lot of weight, but it is more than I've ever done previously - both on the lifting, and the running. I need to keep this new lung capacity and strength so that if I do get sick, I'll know it. Otherwise I'll just think I'm in "normal" mode. I get so weak that I get winded by stairs otherwise. Now that's not the case. I NEED MY GAINS. 10

With Lucy, it's a slow amble. So after work my bride and I have taken to working out to various dance/workout videos on youtube. 7

In addition to that, I was weightlifting and rock climbing about 2 hours per day, 3 days a week (until corona closed the gym). On alternating days, I'd go for a 3 to 6 mile run and then have one day off. I'm still doing the walking and the running, but I've got to find things to lift and climb. 6

I haven't been exercising as much as I should. I had been hoping that working from home would give me additional free time to get more walking time in (or more!) but that hasn't happened yet. Work expands to fill all available time. 7

I gave up on actual TV in 1988, and didn’t have one again until I moved in with my partner in 2013. When we made the move to our current house last year, we lost access to cable, so I’m TV-free again. I stream things with Amazon or Netflix, but generally not anything that I wouldn’t be willing to discuss. 7

The writing on them is often just terrible...but we just keep going back to them.... 6

I'm very much still the same kid on the inside that I was 30-40 years ago. And I fondly remember the days of Saturday morning cartoons and after school cartoons (no matter how commercial they were). Animations are my happy place. 7

It’s just not worth watching without Tim. 6

Characters are fun, stories are cute, doesn't take itself too seriously. But, being a 40-year-old, I get the side-eye a lot. 9

Or, what do you watch and think "why am I watching this?", yet still continue watching? Toss-up between Love After Lockup and Floribama Shore for 'yell at the tv stupid'. We will usually look for one of those two after too much work talk or politics. Just a brain cleanse of stupid. Sometimes we watch the bottom basement gem/jewelry tv because it's literally a couple sweaty hucksters yelling in their basements. We have a fairly evolved taste in bad tv. Knock-off shopping channels doing hair/make-up demos are also good. Those poor models. You can also see I have no shame nor guilt :D 9
