Question for March 25th:

For a guilty pleasure, what is yours when it comes to tv shows? Or, what do you watch and think "why am I watching this?", yet still continue watching?

Some would say Samurai Pizza Cats is mine..

I argue its more Akira, Ghost In The Shell (the original OAV, not Innocence, or the remake), Trigun.... Or.... GetBackers!

Man I love GetBackers! as a series.

Aggretsuko has quickly gotten itself onto that list, although the guilty pleasure is I NEVER skip the intro song on it (most series I'll skip the intro to get into the story)

I tend to stick with ones that are alright. New shows that I find annoy me get dropped off the list pretty quickly.

I don't count them as a guilty pleasure, but I do watch a lot of cartoons for someone in their late 30's with no kids.

Not tv, but movies.  I like kick flicks. Jean Claude Van Damme, Vin Diesel, Jackie Chan, Steven Seagal, Jet Li, Jason Statham..... throw some car chase scenes in and get me a bag of popcorn!

Hey, that's my exercise...but my youngest is 2 1/2!

Edit: I'll also add that it's the 7-year-old that we have the 'what's in your mouth' wrestling with

Guilty pleasure?  Probably My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.  This is the show I have the hardest time admitting I watch, not because of the show but the fandom around it.

Hogan’s Heroes  Particularly any episode with Fraulein Helga.

That ‘Survivors on Some-Island’ show. It used to air right in front of something I did want to watch, and I would sometimes tune in early, and they would have a coconut race. I would watch the coconut race.

But I have cured myself of this.

If this means the reboots (?) of all three, playing currently:

I'd say the whole Hawaii 5-0, MacGyver, Magnum PI franchise.  The writing on them is often just terrible...but we just keep going back to them....

I dealt myself out of MacGyver, kinda stopped caring when Kono left 5-0 (but I will tune in for the final episode/merciful end in a couple of weeks), ...but the new Magnum, I like.  :upside:

What I liked about Hogan's Heroes was that they got the uniforms right... and Fraulein Helga, obviously.

These days everything I watch is streaming. No cable and don't bother with local stations. So if I'm watching something and think "Why?" Then I'm just going to turn it off.

Fun fact, One of my counterparts at the Army Corps is a guy named Klink, Lieutenant Colonel Klink. I'm certain he must be tired of people quoting that show at him by now.

Question for March 26th:

Jello (gelatin) or pudding? Which flavor(s)?

Gelatin Jello: nearly all fruit flavours.

Pudding Jello: I favour the butterscotch, caramel, vanilla ones over the chocolate ones.

And in both cases, they can be used in other desserts.

Now if we go by the savoury gelatins, chicken is normally my favourite as it's packed with flavour for soups and stews. And mine comes from leftover bones I previously cooked.

I've only used unflavoured gelatin to give more stiffness to regular dessert Jello for a birthday treat.
