psychedelic blightfang 77323

This is a really early placeholder, because I have inspiration pictures, and who knows if the  book will be lost when I'm ready. I need to find my dragon.

I'm also inspired by (I think it was @Corporea  's chibi coco lion?)

Would love any tips for preparation and how to deal with scales with my chosen pattern (paisley).

The Egg

It will probably take years. That's what you meant by wild, right?

This is some inspiration here. Totally misremembered it, so I'm glad I dug it up.

Go ahead and like bomb if you missed it the first time.

I got some craft paints.  Reaper paints for details.

Deco Art Americana: primary blue, dioxazine purple, lavender, berry cobbler,  vivid violet.

I did some washing and dry fit... ha e people typically had problems? Mine does not seem to fit well together. I'll see after a boil. I trimmed mold lines and that helped a bit.

I didn't have any issues with Blightfang when I was working on mine, but it might've been an outlier?

I had a glue fail on the tail... it wont hold for me without pinning. How long should I leave it to cure and what can I do for cleaning it? Just a normal prep clean? This is being annoying already.

I have to look for pinning supplies with no idea where they are.

Held in place by pins (except wings and base, but base will get some). Will glue head/neck and tail today and maybe rest after base coats because I will need to fully blend transition from pinks to purples. Though wings last. I still need access to the spines.

Did most base coats, but will need to do more purple. Stuff was very thin.

So I'm finally getting to the terrain for my graveyard set. I've washed the crypt and the fences. I got an extra set of fences, and I think I'm missing 1 short fence,  because I have 5 of those, and everything else is even in number (doubled). Can anyone else who got both during Bones 3 confirm if they had 5 or 6?
      Here's stuff having a soak.

Somewhere I have my Bones 4 toppers, but I'm not going to worry about that right now.
I'm debating putting stuff on large tongue depressors and making stuff modular... though that would leave some gaps if I make a fence around something specific,  as opposed to a representative "fence." Anybody try it and abandon?

Blightfang in the Meadow - inspired by the children's book "A Lion In The Meadow." See the WIP here.
      A VERY brief altered retelling

And now for the mini (Blightfang chases its tail):

And some close ups to show the details and the flock (first time and I'm pretty proud of the results).

I decided to do some basecoats on my bonus vulture. He is party turkey vulture (red neck, and the whichbparts of the wings are light and dark, and part other vulture-the white collar).
Dusky skin shadow 3:  dusky skin 2 for most of the dark colors. Dusky skin highlight for the lights. Cinnamon red for neck and claws.
Wings were drybrushed with ds highlight and then had another coat of base mix applied they to leave the definition from drybrush. Light parts of wing were lined with brown liner,  then touched up with ds highlight. Tombstone is somber grey.
