Enlarged dark dwarf in gold NMM

Thank you to everyone over in the wip forum for the help on this, I wanted to practice NMM after being away for awhile and try a warmer palette.  It’s rough in places but overall very happy with the result I hope you like it and comments welcome.

I like it indeed!  Very smooth.  That 6th shot, with the pauldron devant looks the most convincing.  I wonder if a darker shade at your deepest areas would help sell the effect--the pauldron shot does seem to showcase the contrast well. I'm working on my first significant NMM gold and I'm kind of following some guides that have nearly black as the darkest shade.

Excellent work.  I agree that perhaps darker would sell it a bit more, but that can be a goal for your next figure.  I like the redder look to the right pauldron as if it picked up some of the light from his hair.

Agreed on all of the above, next I will do a very dark red brown as the base.  And thank you for the support and comments

He looks wonderful - I like the light gold unified look of his gear against the darkish skin and red hair -

He turned out pretty well. Maybe some darklining around the face would help. Overall, it's a nice paintjob.
