ReaperCon ReaperLive 3/12/20 class Registration Question & Discussion

Recommended Posts

So how do we register for classes?

The links on the class schedule say "Register @ Zoom", but all they do is launch Zoom, which tells us that the meeting doesn't start until the class/date time.

There has been a major update to the class page -- the links lead to a registration page for each class.

I'll reconfirm, but when clicking "[email protected]" the class time that shows up is not necessarily the time that is listed for the class.

BTW, Reaper is well into uncharted territory and the folks are probably in maximum overdrive, so my patience is basically unlimited.  I won't be upset as the Con goes on and the bugs are worked out.

UPDATE:

For example, the very first class listed is

Skin Deep
Erin Hartwell
Intermediate
Thursday 09 to 11

However, when you click on the class registration page, you get:

Sep 3, 2020 01:00 PM in Central Time (US and Canada)

So there is a time discrepancy.

UPDATE:

I've randomly checked times for several classes and the only schedule discrepancy that I've found is the one above.  The others, so far, are in synch.

Yes the Registration button has the wrong link in it, it will be up shortly. with the correct link, there will be a button for class items as well.
when it is fixed it will allow you to register and not just take you to the class link. :) sorry for the confusion!

Has been fixed!

Is there a page that shows an individual's class schedule...the whole thing?

When you get your confirmation email, you will be able to add it to your calendar, then you can look on your calendar for the classes.
*Will be posting a master schedule as well coming up this week.

Thanks.  I've done the calendar thing.

BTW, are all the classes on the schedule or is there a possibility that others may be added?

This class requires two minis:

SU0125 This isn't my first Battle - Weathering

David Cecil

15:00 - 17:00

Sunday, September 6 2020

However, one mini is out of stock.  It is:

Orc Marauder (Sword and Shield)
$2.99
0 in stock
sku: 77042

What now?  I don't want to order my class materials now, get free postage, and then have to order one mini later and pay postage.

Are classes on the schedule still shuffling or do they disappear from the list at some point if they're considered full?

I did my registration earlier today and was just now going through the classes to make sure I have or will have the materials used on hand.  One of the classes I registered for (and got the email confirming) doesn't show on the schedule any more.

Specifically: FR0515 David Diamondstone - OSL and Lighting Effects Sep 4 3pm Central.

Correct!

We have not made an OFFICIAL announcement on classes due to corrections still needing to be made and there were some last minute shuffling of classes that changed on Friday that didn't make it online.

David's OSL Class will be on Twitch, not zoom, but more info on that specific class to come soon on our website. He was one of those changes on Friday that didn't make it online.

Please stay tuned for our OFFICIAL announcement of ReaperU classes for ReaperCon Live on all our social medias, here on the forums, and our website!

Thanks!

I think the class limit is 1,000 attendees ... the number that can Zoom in.

Yeah! Got registered for @TaleSpinner's courses.

While I feel bad that the con can't be in person this year, I'm happy for me that I get to take a couple of classes this year, as I wasn't going to be able to attend in person.

If anyone has a specific question about either of my classes ask away, I will do my best to answer.  I'm not on the forums every day, but I will try to catch it.  TAG ME though. So I will see it.

Highlander, glad you will be joining me for at least one of them.  The 2 orcs will be used to show the weathering in 2 different ways.  You can prepaint 1 of them, either one, first with no weathering so you can follow along when I show how to add weathering to an already painted mini.  Dont worry too much about the how to paint it details.  The techniques should work on whatever style you produce.  Would recommend true metallics on it and vary that between silver and bronze. Etc.  Hope that helps. Maybe like one of these.  The specific orc does not matter. Just looking for good shields armor and weapons
