That skin is amazing! I am totally stealing that recipe. And the black hair looks good.

Now is the part of figuring out the color schemes for everything.  The inner part of the skirt will be a pale purple.  The shadow layer is Amethyst Purple.

Not sure how I’ll pull it off...

Trying to go Purple/Yellow for her.  But there are three “garments” to worry about. The back of her long skirts will be a darker purple.  What is painted here in Chestnut Gold I hope to turn into a lemon yellow type color.  I’m calling it her tunic.  But then she has a hip sash and the scalloped wing things, which seem to cuff her sleeves at the shoulders.  I hope to turn that into a saffron type yellow-orange.  I hope the end up distinct....

Washed the Chestnut Gold with Reikland Fleshshade.

First layer of Pumpkin Orange.  It’s coverage ability is a challenge.

Ugh!  Was trying a new recipe for a teal-Grey NMM, and got a huge splotch of turquoise on her face.  Luckily I saw it right away, so I dunked the whole mini in water, swished her around, and used a wet brush to get 99% of it off.  Luckily no other paint came off.  So, gonna take a break from her to let her dry...

I always have a damp brush at hand when painting, the moment you spill fresh paint on the wrong spot, immediately apply the damp brush it will soak up the new paint, wipe, wet and repeat till done.

Usually works for me.

Yep.  I had to do that after the dunk.  She looked fine this morning.

This is HD Bright Turquoise as a Base for NMM.  I haven’t tried this before, but I hoped it would be a little contrasting to the oranges in the yellows.  The plan is to mix in Cloudy Grey and then white.

1:1 Bright Turquoise:Cloudy Grey.

Was hoping for more grey.  We’ll see how it changes with more grey in the mix...

This is about 1:4 Turquoise:Grey.

I had to add some freehand to match the soft details of her right foot to the left.  The right foot was kind of a smooth “blob.”  Getting there?

Looks good so far.

You know, I keep looking at those eyes, they're really striking!

They immediately draw my attention!

The dire crocodile, dire boar, and dire crab were one of the Bones 4 addons, and it doesn't look like they've hit retail just yet. Which is a shame, because we need more giant crabs.

The mud on the dire crocodile's base is just some water effect goo dribbled on that half of the base. The barnacles attached to the rocks on the dire crab's base were sculpted with green stuff. The rocks... those are just rocks.

I'm looking for something to stick Bones, specifically Ma'al Drakar's terrain, to a wooden base. It's not thick enough, at the area I want to place it, to pin effectively.

What kind of adhesives would work? I'm thinking epoxy, maybe? I just /really/ don't want to melt it accidentally and have to buy a new one.

I just like the way the blue/black wings look.  - I did the same with the Librarian Sophie. (last month)
I really need to paint up one of the metal versions for contrast.
I'm not sure what she is serving - Meat, bread and salad is the way I painted it, but that could be cake instead.

Been wanting to paint this one for awhile. Love the dynamic pose! Really happy with this one.

This finally gave me something to use my larger Games Workshop skulls on. I may try to give his hair another highlight of something brighter, as it looks pretty dull at the moment. A fun evil mage that I hope to use as a boss battle one day.
