well I think you have done some great work on him.  nice detail work especially.

a very monstrous figure.

as for criticism - I think the boringness you complain of comes from the skin being all the same tones -

you might add some red or  tanning on the shoulders, freckles or liver spots scattered in various places (basically stippling dots intermittently)

or add some blue/purple shadows to shadows lower on his chest, but not at the top ... that sort of thing.

just to increase the variation across the large amount of skin.

Thanks!

I think you're on to something there, I was much happier with Eddie and he was mostly skin too, but he was also covered in veins that broke up all that flesh.

I've still got two of these big mutants to paint up (Eventually), I'll try and put more work into their skin.

I think it looks incredible. Personally, a little simpler but perfectly executed is ideal. Maybe the skin doesn’t have loads of stuff going on but not everything needs to be busy all the time, the boils and wounds it has look great. My personal opinion would be to just vary the color of the boils to include some purples and blacks like bubonic plague or maybe some bright infected greens or oranges. Maybe even some gooey leakage from some of them?

Too much “stuff” gets cluttered to me sometimes, I think color alone could give a little more variation.  But you guys are WORLDS ahead of me in terms of skill and knowledge so just my $.02 to be taken with a grain of salt.  Awesome work, truly amazing skill with a brush.

Presenting the Ogre Tyrant by Games Workshop, he is very heavily armed.

This one took a while, it's very much one of those minis where the more you work on it, the more details you find.
I am very pleased with how he turned out though.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

This is my version of a Games workshop Aragorn. I didn't want to paint him as Aragorn since I have two of these same minis so I decide to go for a purple skinned, white haired drow ranger.  I'm going to use him as a swordsman named Vigo in my Rangers of Shadowdeep games.
This mini was a blast to paint, I like how the highlights turned out. Thanks for looking!

Here you go, folks, my second of the four Warhammer warbands I've got (Here's the first). When I first started painting these, I was a bit worried about them looking just like a blob of gold, but I must say, I'm quite pleased with how the colors look. And that bird... That bird is my favorite. I tried speckling its breast and around its neck, but it just looks blotchy. Oh well.

So, a coworker and fellow painter gave me a bunch of unwanted Warhammer Underworlds Shadespire minis, so uh... Guess that's mostly what you guys will be seeing from me in the near future!

As I'm just naturally inclined to orcs, and these guys look absolutely awesome, I painted Ironskull's Boyz first. Also, finally got my hands on some premade washes, so I ditched homemade watered down paints on these. Personally, I think it made 'em look pretty good!

The number of ants that tried to photobomb this shot was ridiculous.

The lighting on the individual shots was being weird, so sorry if some are darker and other lighter!
