This idiot had to be brought into the house after he/she bounced off the kitchen window and was staggering drunkenly around the garden unable to fly. Nothing was broken and an hour's time out in a covered cardboard box fixed them right up. Starlings are pretty loud, but its a whole new level of volume when you're holding one

Might be unconnected, but there's one particular starling that comes to our feeders that has no fear of me at all. It will land on the feeders as I'm refilling them, cheeky wee thing. It might be this one or just a particularly bold individual, I'll never know.

BTW, I'm not calling it an idiot because it flew into the window but because there was 2 hungry cats sitting on the other side of said window

What is something you want a mini of that you can't currently find?

Doesn't happen; if I want it, I sculpt it.  Thanks for the ideas though.

We're half way through the month. what's the best thing that's happened to you so far?

I think I'm going to go with getting that doubled gst rebate cheque a month early, and then being able to order most of the various minis I wanted to get my paws on...

No wait, having my Iron Heart Artisans paint racks make it to me just before my birthday. That really was a nice treat.

What is the largest non-human animal you've ever found in your house?

Other than a couple of very large spiders & Damnit The Cat, nothing much has moved into the place in Texas.

In Sound Beach, I had a family of Raccoons that were long standing residents of the attic. I had a hole in the ceiling of my room right over my painting table that opened into the attic.

While I paint, I usually/often sing. The Old Female Raccoon would lie by the hole & hum along with me. When she accidentally fell through the hole late one night, she touched me to wake me up. I then walked her downstairs passed my gaping Sons & let her out the front door...we had become old friends by then.

Surprisingly too many good things have happened amid the bad to pick out just one.

I was really excited to see the little herb garden I put in my kitchen window a couple of weeks ago sprouted today. A little more excited than I should be over herbs that the cats will likely try and destroy to be honest. But sometimes it's the little things that stand out.

Didn't have to file my income taxes....in a normal year I would be stressing about that... today.

Second best: I escaped  a hopeless traffic smarl-up yesterday by backing up along an entrance ramp. I had to go at least twenty car lengths backwards. Wouldn’t have been possible on a normal day, but the traffic yesterday resembled 6am on a Saturday while the party animals are all sleeping it off.
