We're half way through the month. what's the best thing that's happened to you so far?

In the past month, I've lost about 10 lbs because of a good routine (and pretty much stuck home) without too much effort.

I finally found the right stretching exercise that helps with my upper back/neck pain. Too much hunching over computer/tablet/painting left me with a persistent kink and limiting my mobility.

Taxes are done! Meaning I won't have to worry about that PITA for a whole year.

Marinating my pork for several days (simple mix of BBQ sauce, soy sauce, spices) made a heck of a tasty different once it hit the slow cooker.

what paint do you use up the fastest?

Primers, since I have way more primed than actually painted.

Beyond those, Brown Liner (which I use as a primer), Reapers brush on Sealer (which I use when thinning paints), AP Strong Wash/GW Agrax Earthshade (I put that [email protected]#% on everything).

Others depend on projects. I went through a bottle of War Front Dunkelgelb in about a week basecoating German Panzermecha a while ago....

The ones I used most often are the off-white Bone colours (graveyard, dirty, polished, etc.) and the leather browns (oiled, tanned, lonestar).

But in pure volume, currently it's Fireball Orange. I tried doing dragon wings, but the coverage is simply awful, so it was layer after layer after layer on large membranes. Had to rethink how I did those wings.

Linen white and cloudy grey are the ones I've had to replace most often (twice on both).  Not counting wash/ink products.

Probably a bone white from Vallejo. I do a lot of skeletons. Plus that particular VGC bottle always seems to clog, and I end up squirting out 10x the amount I need despite clearing it (this has prompted a change to P3 off-whites with a lid vs dropper bottle).

It's a four way tie - all craft paints:
Delta Forest Green/DecoArt Avocado
Delta Spice Brown
Black

White

These are my four big go to colors when painting terrain and bases.  The black and white I premix into colors I call Castle Grey Dark, Castle Grey Medium and Castle Grey Light (3:1, 1:1, 1:3 ratios of black to white respectively).

When it comes to Reaper Paints, it's Brown Liner, hands down.

Red and Bone/Khaki shades. I have a habit of nearly every mini I paint has some red on it even if it's just a slight accent on a gem or something. Bone shades get used a lot as undercoats for other colours and for light wood, bone and other things plus as highlights for hair and other things.

Probably Army Painter Strong or Dark Tone in bottles.

I hate un-primered minis on the table for play, but I'll accept a shading coat of paint. Surprisingly it doesn't look half that bad, especially for pieces that are suppose to be metal like a sword blade or armor.

::(:  I don’t think I have used up a dropper bottle before it perished due to drying up or turning to unusable gooey gunk. :ik_oops:

I think I've completely used 3-4 bottles of paint in my life not including craft paints for terrain. A lot have been pitched because of the paint going bad. Back in my GW/Citadel days it was a yearly thing. Every fall I'd get back to painting and check the pots and throw out about a quarter of them because they'd dried out in the few months I hadn't painted.  Still have a handful of those surviving  paints in droppers now. Since switching to Vallejo droppers nearly 20 years ago I had a lot less bad ones but still a few. I only went big on Reaper a few years ago so none of them have died on me yet and I try to do a check and mix more often. I really should be doing that soon.
