do you paint or collect any minis in scales other that 25-28mm, if so, what?

As a regular hobby, no. Though there are plenty of exceptions if I happen to see something I like.

For example, I do own several 1:100 Gundam models I purchased in the late 90s-early 2000s, and a few vending machine souvenir toys from my trip in Japan that can easily be repainted (like a tennis ball size Shin Godzilla, or a SD Gundam about the size of CAV minis).

P.S. For painting purposes, I consider my Battletech and CAV minis to be 28mm scale.

You bet!

6mm, ~1:285 - Battletech, Robotech, assorted stuff for Polyversal

10mm, ~1:180 - CAV:SO, I think I have some other BSRs in that scale...Whisper, Sky Shards....

1:144 - a few Gundams

15mm, ~1:100 - Forged in Battle's War & Empire (ancients), Heavy Gear, currently printing a bunch of WWII tanks....

35mm ish - Star Wars Legion

And assorted 72mm and busts and such.

I wouldn't be surprised if I've forgotten something.....

Quite big 20mm and 54mm collections, military rather than fantasy.

YES

  • 10mm troops (or whatever scale Warmaster is/was)
  • 1/1200 (1.5mm) vehicles and ships.
  • 1:100 Flames of War by Battlefront.****
  • 54mm plastics.
  • 150mm (1/12) bust.
  • CAV Robots and Battletech Robots.
  • Battlefleet Gothic Spaceships and Assorted Starfleet Spaceships (edit) (no idea what scale either of these is)

****There is something Hinky about the scale in Flames of War. I am just a bird-brained gryffon but even I can tell that 1:100 ----IS NOT 15mm soldiers.

The Math

1:1200 ....is (tiny) troops that are... 1.5mm tall

Enlarge 1:1200 by 2x

1:600 ....is (tiny) troops that are... 3mm tall

Enlarge 1:1200 by 10x

1:120 ....is (tiny) troops that are... 15mm tall

Enlarge 1:1200 by 12x

1:100 ....is (tiny) troops that are... 18mm tall

Enlarge 1:1200 by 20x

1:60 ....is (tiny) troops that are... 30mm tall      <=====this one is D&D map scale 1 inch = 5 feet

6mm/1:285/1:300 although I don't really do much with them. Lots of plans, a few minis and 30 years of not much action.

After many years of thinking about it spaceships but not really sure about scale.

90+% of the collection is 28mm (or approximately that because a lot of companies are very flexible about scale/size).

how do you like your coffee or tea?

I absolutely love the smell of coffee, but the taste really turns my stomach. It doesn't matter how much sugar I put into it, it always takes like bitterness and regret to me ::(:

My tea is basically hot, sugary, milky water with just enough actual tea in it to give it a wee bit of flavour. Many jokes have been made regarding myself just waving the teabag near the cup

To use superglue without sticking my fingers to something. Notable entries include to minis(especially Infinity), my clothes, each other and to my forehead. Oddly, superglue is one of the few hobby crafting materials that I'm not allergic to, which possibly explains why I have such a lackadaisical attitude towards it.

***checks***

Good grief, I'm boring.

I think everything I have is 28mm. Possibly because my usual excuse for buying new minis is "Oh, I might need that for D&D".

I managed to grab a 150mm scale 1st Century A.D. Germanic warrior from a thrift store, don't have much beyond that.

I also paint busts and large scale 54mm and up.

In the past I painted 10mm and 15mm armies, I can't promise I won't do that again...

I do not, and given the amount awaiting to be painted, that's probably a good thing. Which is not to say that I don't have my eye on some very nice 75mm+ figures, I am just using a lot of restraint. I've never gone smaller than a Tre Manor scale halfling, which is tiny, but if I did venture into 15mm scale I am interested in the Time of Legends: Joan of Arc game by Mythic Games.

Back in the 90s, I collected anime models and painted those. Nowadays, I might buy a statuette or vinyl pop occasionally, but I mostly stick to the 25-28 mm, though I've gotten a few 35 mm figures, which is definitely a scale issue....
