This past weekend, I had the pleasure of reveiling to my family the gender of my upcoming child, due to be born in February 2021!

Now, we had been planning to make it a big party, having a nice cake or some other kind of surprise, but ... covid.

So, instead of placing the decision if they would want to come at my family members, we canceled the party ourselves, being responsible adults and all (sometimes at least!).

Instead, we had some amazing cakes made by a friend who lives near some of my relatives.

We had them sent out across the land, delivered to family, etc.

So each had a cake of their own... then we videocalled, and cut the cakes all at the same time.

It was a very nice substitute for a gathering. Still, not the same, but it came close to it :D

Here are the pictures of the cake, which was a follow-up of our wedding cake in 2016, theme-wise :D

The cakes!

Haha, gender doesn't matter for nerdiness, but who knows, it might a football jock later on? If he'll be anything like his parents that's very unlikely though xD

It's a boy by the way, already got a daughter age 4 atm, so will be a new experience for the household, a nice balance in here.

(At least now I can leave the toilet seat up more often?)
