I ran sound for one of his concerts, when he performed in Portland, Maine, gods, more than twenty years ago, now, as part of the Portland Folk Club.

He was one of the funniest people that I have ever met.

I sang Please Don't Bury Me right around Hallowe'en at a folk circle.

Rest in peace, Mr. Prine.

Still processing this one. My siblings and I would wander around singing "Illegal Smile" for years before we had any idea what it meant.

I was thinking about this the other morning.

Yankee's Pitcher Whitey Ford dead at 91.
He had the best record of any pitcher in the 20th Century and was known as "The Chairman of The Board" during his successful years with the New York Yankees.

I forgot to post this mini which I recently finished, Reaper 60036 Visbaronetess Delour Aulamaxa from the Pathfinder line.  She is just such a hilarious and fun mini.  I tried my best to make her garish, but I just could not make myself paint her with clashing colors, which is why she took so long to finish, I was just stuck on what color to paint next.  If I had just realized there is a Pathfinder illustration with her, I would have used that color scheme.
Anyhow, here she is singing for the royal court!

The Gambler has acted out the last stanza of the song.
Just announced that Kenny Rogers died, at home in hospice care.
Those old enough  to remember the song and the subsequent movies know the story.
For those who aren't look up some video on You Tube
