Here you go, folks, my second of the four Warhammer warbands I've got (Here's the first). When I first started painting these, I was a bit worried about them looking just like a blob of gold, but I must say, I'm quite pleased with how the colors look. And that bird... That bird is my favorite. I tried speckling its breast and around its neck, but it just looks blotchy. Oh well.
So, a coworker and fellow painter gave me a bunch of unwanted Warhammer Underworlds Shadespire minis, so uh... Guess that's mostly what you guys will be seeing from me in the near future!
As I'm just naturally inclined to orcs, and these guys look absolutely awesome, I painted Ironskull's Boyz first. Also, finally got my hands on some premade washes, so I ditched homemade watered down paints on these. Personally, I think it made 'em look pretty good!
The number of ants that tried to photobomb this shot was ridiculous.
The lighting on the individual shots was being weird, so sorry if some are darker and other lighter!
Sandra Garrity makes some of my favorite Dwarves, and the detail on this one stood out. It doesn't show up much in the picture, but there are some Norse Futhark runes on the blade of the sword in blue that only appear if I rotate the figure 45% left or right. Also, I love dwarves in green.

Apologies that this one isn't Reaper, but I am super stoked with how it turned out and really wanted to share.
I recently started experimenting with glazing, an old and popular technique I have been aware of for years but had never really given much thought to or attempted. It was like unlocking an ancient magic, I cant believe the difference such a subtle technique has made to my miniatures. After achieving some promising results on a batch of halflings I recently painted, I decided to experiment some more on a slightly larger model, a 3D printed bust I'd picked up on Ebay (I believe it is by a company called Tytantroll Miniatures).
Anyway I just wanted to share. Glazing has been a revelation to me, and it just goes to show that it sometimes pays to step away from your comfort zone and try new things.

I've been trying to work on my encounters for Rangers of Shadow Deep. Here's a bunch of randomness from that work!
We have: a Warhammer Quest rat, a Frostgrave Wizards II Rat Familiar, a Reaper Bones Rat Swarm, a Reaper Bones Rat Ogre, a Spawn Rat from Dark Platypus Studios, a Warhammer Skaven Giant Rat, and a Rat Mama 3D print from Crippled God Foundry.
A Bat Swarm from Reaper Bones.
An Infestation of Spiders:
A Reaper Bones Cavern Spider, a Reaper Bones Spider Swarm, a man-faced spider that may be from Foundry, and a classic Warhammer Quest giant spider.
Flies that are Giant:
One of the more unusual encounters in Rangers of Shadow Deep. I picked these up from the 40k Kill Team: Rogue Trader boxed set before there were official models.
