Serpent’s Skull, Pathfinder 1e

Recommended Posts

Hi people.

Im going to start another PBP.  So far I have interest from @ShadowRaven, @dwarvenranger, @Dilvish the Deliverer, and @Kangaroorex.

We’re going to start the Serpent’s Skull adventure path.  Pathfinder 1e.

All books are in play, but I reserve the right to veto something if it seems too gross/bloated.

Please utilize the Serpent’s Skull Players Guide from the Paizo website.

Abilities: 4d6, reroll all 1’s, drop lowest score, yielding ranges from 2-18 pre mods.

Avg. Starting gold.

We’ll follow the AP leveling track when possible.

We’ll have individual initiative.

I hope to get this started soon, so please post those characters.

-edits-

House Rules

1. HP beyond first level.  Roll the hit die.  If the roll is less than”avg” then take avg instead.  Example: Wizard d6.  Rolls a 1.  Gets 4hp instead, before Con mod.

2. Acrobatics can be used to avoid AOO when standing from prone.

3. If someone is not responding and action is waiting for them, I’ll send a pm after 24 hours.  If no response 24 hours later, I’ll take over that character to get action rolling again.

I'd be careful with that, the last time I opened up character generation, I got BoDeep Swamphopper: Grippli paladin on his giant dragonfly.  Surprisingly, it was amazingly effective... but I still don't think you want to go there ::D:

I'm up for it!  Anyone have preferences?

I try to make it a point to play something I haven't played before so right now I'm looking at a shaman.  It seems very versatile so I should be able to fill many different roles.

Waffling between a halfling paladin & catfolk (unchained) cat burglar. I am going to get the trait, Boarded in Mwangi Expanse. I like the idea of the jungle being "normal" to my character + the bonus Polygot language is one I was wanting to get anyways.

Trying to decide on my Spirit.  Looking at a few (Lore, Water, Flame), , or going Unsworn.  Unsworn gives me great flexibility but cost leaves me at -1 hex compared to all of the other spirits.  Kind of learning to Unsworn for the flexibility

Working on the halfling paladin. I'll see what I like better or what fits better for the group.

Ok here is the other option. I said paladin, but after seeing the picture of the Order of the Paw in the Adv Race guide, I had to make one of these guys, thou it was cavalier vs paladin. I've never played a cavalier before (D&D any edition) so this will be a challenge. He is more or less a spoiled nobleman with a heart for halflings (& somewhat others) in distress, especially females!!

@haldir yes, you can take Rich Parents.  Tell me a little about you family’s social standing, lineage, etc.

How much does all this gear weigh?  I don’t see a total lbs.

This looks pretty fun. Apologies for formatting on my phone and stuff got lost. They pay a living wage

Just pulled these out of the drawer.  One of these Orcs was next in line on the Bones I Kickstarter Rewards image, so I’ll try to squad-paint them together to save time. They have been cleaned of mold lines.  The spearman’s spear was very bent, as was the great sword.  So, those got weapon swapped with basic weapons from Bones 3.  Those are darker grey.  Washed them, so just waiting for them to dry.  Also had to gap fill spearman’s wrists.

I’ve been working on this dragon too.
It has some serious lean.  In order to try to address this, I cut the front feet away from the back feet, and from each other.  I was hoping gluing the to the base separately would do it, but no!

      Still serious lean.
I decided to pin the feet to the base, but as I played with it, realized the back feet, left and right front feet would all have to be at different levels.

It’s now straight and erect.  I had to chop and reposition the tail for this, or else the tip dipped below the level of the base.  Now I need to sculpt green stuff supports around these pins.  Then I’ll try to turn them in to rocks.

Starting up another, now that Janan is done.
Satheras, Male Warlock.  He had a really bent staff.  On the behind shot you can see I cut it off at the hand, wedged a bit out and re glued it into a straighter angle.  I also cut him off his integral base, since it had no texture.

Hoping to try to get a little better at OSL on him, with a green gem in the staff.

Brought some painting models for vacation.  Finished the Hell Hound last night, didn’t WIP it.

Had Yephima on my shelf of shame for a long time.  If it ends up 1/100 as good as the studio version I’ll be happy.  Plan on light blue skin and silvery hair, like the Bestiaries suggest.  Other than that, not sure...

Here she is primed with Brown Liner.  That’s gonna take some work to get the skin tones brighter.
