Souls for Smuggler’s Shiv, Pathfinder 1e

Recommended Posts

So it sounds like the party will make its way to the safer incline and come at the nest from level ground. Arune will continue to move stealthy to attempt to seal up on the not-birdies

Ok.  Give me some stealth rolls or let me know if taking 10.  This process takes another hour.

That will put the time at 11:30.  After this encounter it will be a good idea to shelter from the sun and do nothing.  The time period from 12-3 is brutal heat.

Ok.

Gradual hill slope.  Encounter distance 2d10x10 feet =130 feet basically dictates when you break the cover of the forest.  They rolled well on their Perception.  18+5.  For an encounter distance of 130 feet that is a -13 to their Perception.  No additional canopy bonus in this direction.  So, you (Sabine) have been spotted.  They don’t seem to take kindly to the intrusion.

I’ll use everyone’s earlier initiative rolls.

Dinos 23 (ugh, rolled 20.  Better now than combat)!

Arune 16

Scraps 15
Jandir 13

Sabine 10

Lorak 7

I’ll work on their actions and a map tomorrow.  Good night.

Stealth: 11 + 7 + 6 =24

Seeing that they've seen some of us, I will draw my rapier & will hide & wait till they come down to us.

One waddles forward flapping its wings in a warning (Double move 20 ft A)

The other takes flight gaining 10 feet of altitude and traveling 30 feet (since this does have a down slope, it is only gaining about 5 feet).  This is a double move.  It lets out a high pitched screeching warning call also. B

The log acts as a low wall.  If you are within 30 feet of it, and you are attacked with a range attack from the other side, and you are closer to it than your attacker, you gain cover.

The arrows show slope.  If you are down slope, your attacker gains a +1 to hit you.

The top lines are the cliff going down 40 ft, toward the north.

The green is light undergrowth.

The dots are small trees.

The dotted ribbon to the right is a scree slope.

The Gray blobs are big boulders.

Arune is up.

I assume we are starting at the x?  Arune will move to U15 and shoot his puny arrow at B (11+5=16) to hit (damage, if it hits is 3)

Yep, sorry.  You are all starting around the X.

Arune is used to picking off flying jungle predators!  He lines up a clean shot.  It hits the flying lizard in the body (fly check 8+7=15, success.  Doesn’t lose altitude).  It is wounded but still fully functional.

Scraps is up.

I will move stealthily up towards them. I will double move & will wait till they come to me.  So  S14 is where I'll end up at.

S14 is too exposed for a stealth check, since you are walking exposed.  You’d have to get to something like U3, U19, or Q15 and duck behind the rocks or bush.  If you do a double move to go your full speed, stealth is at -5 penalty.

      Hi people.
Im going to start another PBP.  So far I have interest from @ShadowRaven, @dwarvenranger, @Dilvish the Deliverer, and @Kangaroorex.

We’re going to start the Serpent’s Skull adventure path.  Pathfinder 1e.

All books are in play, but I reserve the right to veto something if it seems too gross/bloated.

Please utilize the Serpent’s Skull Players Guide from the Paizo website.

Abilities: 4d6, reroll all 1’s, drop lowest score, yielding ranges from 2-18 pre mods.

      Avg. Starting gold.

We’ll follow the AP leveling track when possible.

      We’ll have individual initiative.

I hope to get this started soon, so please post those characters.

      -edits-
      House Rules
      1. HP beyond first level.  Roll the hit die.  If the roll is less than”avg” then take avg instead.  Example: Wizard d6.  Rolls a 1.  Gets 4hp instead, before Con mod.
      2. Acrobatics can be used to avoid AOO when standing from prone.
      3. If someone is not responding and action is waiting for them, I’ll send a pm after 24 hours.  If no response 24 hours later, I’ll take over that character to get action rolling again.

You can decide if you know each other before the start of the adventure, or are all randomly passing through this small rural town on your way to or from Korvosa.
You have heard rumor that a carnival passes through this town, and have come to investigate and have some fun.
As you mill about the carnival grounds, you can sample delicious food from vendors, view exotic sights or shows, and participate in games of skill and chance.

Let me know what types of things you are interested in, and if/how you know each other.
