What do you plan as the silent image?

A big eagle, making the image as big as I can force the image and having it swoop out of the sun sweeping towards the nest.  hopefully it will either scare the reptabirds into either attacking or running

 

As noted in the back story Arune has plenty of experience dealing with large birds from the 'terror of being eaten' perspective

The mommy dimorphodon screeches and takes flight chasing the eagle.

Scraps will make his move & will move up to the tree & will climb it to retrieve the youngling.

 

Climb: 11 + 7 = 18

20 ft per round climb speed

Ok.  If you have a climb speed of 20, you can double move so it takes a round up and a round down if the checks succeed.

 

I need 3 more climb checks.

 

I’d still consider it Combat, so no taking 10.

Ok.  You manage to climb up the tree, snatch the hatchling, stuff it into a sack, and climb down in 4 rounds.  You book it to the tree line for two more rounds before the parent can figure out the eagle is fake and her young has been snatched.  But, she’s not a good enough flier to pursue you into the jungle.

So do we head back to camp or try and make it to point and see what we can see?  And hope Mama bird doesn't find us when we break cover?

I recommend we take a quick look at the point but we ant to get back quickly before it gets hungry or does something silly.

The main view from the point doesn’t reveal too much new information.  The main interesting thing again is the sort of strange blighted gray island to the west.

 

You also note a low mountain to the southeast as the highest point on the island.  It’s stone or dirt is a deep rusty red color.

 

The mountain is in the middle of the peninsula on the lower right.
