Reminder to myself for when I need to replace the LCD.

The newer motherboards do not require the back to be removed or the screws loosened on the MB. The attachment cable does not need the little right angle extension, it attaches to the outside of the MB. When you take off the front look to see if the cable to the LCD is on the MB straight down from the LCD. If so you got a newer MB.

The start of something big.

Had a failed print, noticed some damage to the FEP I don't really trust, it could puncture when it prints again.

So I need to change the FEP again.

I have no spoons of doing that right now, and I need a new bottle of methylated alcohol ( way cheaper than IPA and works as well).

So later this week...

 

I did get a decent print also, a carnivorous plant, just a tip of the leaf didn't work, but that was my fault, I switched off the power for my laptop, sadly that's the same socket my printer was in..

The other print was already failed, didn't stick to the plate, too little support despite being presupported.

By now I rather support everything myself or at least tinker with the presupported stuff.

Replaced the FEP film.

 

Now test printing the Artisan Zeekling and the Sample Jungle Plant from the Plants and Rocks KS.

I used the unsupported version of the plant this time and added them in chitubox.

Let's hope things will work out.

 

Estimated time 2hours 15 minutes.

FEP replacement was a succes.

I also replaced the Kapton Tape since it was getting loose and cleaned the VAT while it was disassembled.

Not exactly...

This is part of the Lair of the Spider Queen Set I bought yesterday ( 50% off couldn't resist).

 

I used the unsupported version and placed the supports myself now hoping I will be able to print a good copy.

For a moment when looking at the store pic, I feared I lost some detail, namely the texture of the base.

But the file loaded in chitubox shows it like it got printed.

I wonder if the store pic uses an earlier version of the base.
