I can quit anytime I want!!!

Yah, sure you can.
Though I’ll admit I am contemplating on getting a the Mars pro at some point. I’ve been piddling around with making my own 3D models on Blender here recently.

Unfortunately I'm heading to my first failed print.

I tried to print the two Artisan Guild Giant Snakes.

Yesterday I took my time with one of them to apply manual supports

it took me so long I decided to let chitubox place autosupports for nr. 2 ( I wanted to print them both)

BUT!

I didn't look carefully and I let it autosupport with LIGHT supports, these are big models.

So, I can see one snake building up ( mine) the other is still a puddle, the light supports can't hold it.

Now hoping the good build won't be damaged by anything that comes of the bad one.

And there we have it!

One snake printed out fine, the other left a large flat chunk.

I needed to filter the VAT and pop that resin off.

Now I'm not certain if I can refill or need to replace the FEP FILM, since I noticed some bumps, also the film is cloudy from my cleaning with a bit of IPA.

no problem with the FEP.  It gets cloudy after a number of prints regardless.  To test the bump just print something small in the area and see if it works.  Don't forget to filter your resin when taking it out or placing it into the tank.

I would also wipe off the FEP with a clean micro fiber cloth and then lightly grease it with a Teflon based lubricant.

Based on your pictures your FEP is almost perfect compared to mine.

Thx!

I cleaned it, refilled it.

Now printing a small item ( one hour print) something my nephew needed.

Some sort of arm to replace a doll's arm.

It's a little thing, placed it in the area where I saw bumps.

Brother Snake printed well today.

This time I used medium supports with the additional light one.

These snakes are big!

The Lady Orc is 32mm ( Artisan Guild minis are about 32 mm, like the Reaper Warlord minis I guess)

Current printjob a Big Female Oni Ogre.

Wowzers!

I figured they were pretty good sized, but I was figuring a 2" base would be enough.  Those might be pretty comfy on a 3"!

Perfect size for Giant Snake in 5e. I may have to file the snakes into a "future to print" file.

Nice work!!
