Of what 2019 achievement are you most proud?

I’m pretty dang proud of the human I made. Granted, she’s only like a year old, but she’s scary clever, brave, learning to be kind, and oh so curious.

I’m also really proud of my relationship with my husband. It’s about as perfect as it can be, and that’s because we’ve put a lot of effort into communicating and understanding each other and strengthening our bonds.

I do the same thing, and often have my foot going for the non-existent clutch when driving my wife's automatic.

Every car I have ever purchased has been a stick shift. The only vehicle I can see getting as an automatic would be a truck, since it would be hauling a trailer, and I'd be ok with having an automatic when parking that.....

Or, you know, whatever exotic supercar(s) I'd get if I won the lotto, since they are all flappy paddle dual clutch automagic things now.

When I was young I drove grain truck for my relatives for a couple months every year. Stupidly long hours day and night. When I'd get into a vehicle that wasn't a stick shift I'd be stomping my left foot and grabbing with my right hand trying to shift gears. It was kind of amusing except when I accidently found the brakes instead. For some jobs I still prefer a manual transmission but for everyday road/highway/street driving an automatic is much nicer.

Not sure. 2019 wasn't a year of great accomplishments for me.

These aren't really achievements, but I'm pretty happy I got to hike the Narrows in Zion NP and do my first overnight backpacking trip into Kolob Canyons.

What restaurant meal do you miss most during this time of isolation and stay-at-home orders?

I don’t know where to begin.

Yes: from old favorites to new discoveries, I miss many options.

2019? Rough year on our family, so my best achievement was being a point of stability for the rest of our family.
