In all honesty, nothing comes to mind, since other than being swapped over to one week on one week off scheduling (but thankfully still being paid regularly) and seeing a decent uptick in the amount of painting, organizing, and cleaning I've been doing, I haven't really looked into anything new.

My Netflix and Disney+ backlog has also shrunk considerably...

I don't know. I managed to sew a mask, but it wasn't very good.

other than that I've mostly been doing the same stuff I used to do just in different places or different ways. some drawing, some minis painting, some cooking, some baking

Today is Lost Sock Memorial Day. There are few mysteries in life that are as perplexing as the mystery of the missing sock. No matter how hard you try to keep pairs of socks together, invariably one of them ventures out into the netherworld never to be found again.

What do you do with the remaining unmatched socks?  Do you recycle them into dust cloths or dog toys, or keep them in hopes the pair will some day match up again?

They are offered up to the Sock Gods as sacrifices so as to effect the rolls of my players in a negative way and to protect me from dryer monsters.

I let my group make up the pantheon in our worlds a while back and it got weird.

When something breaks are you more likely to try and fix it, or are you likely to replace it?

If it looks like I can fix it I'll give it a try. But otherwise I'll just weigh the cost of replacing versus having a pro fix it and go with the cheaper option.

Nothing exciting as it pertained to professional development.

I've learned some basic project project management skills; contract essential elements; work supervision; ethics and professional conduct laws and regulations.

All of them online classes as every other physical establishments are closed. Important, but still mostly snorefests.

Nothing springs to mind. Being essential, I haven't had more free time on my hands than usual.

Not because per se, since I'm Military and worked after the move.

But I did purchase a 3D Resin Printer and learned how to use it, how to do stuff in Chitubox etc.

I learned to use Skype.

I learned how to control the focus on my webcam.

I re-learned why I never order from my local Dominos.

I learned my face is too big for the standard mask (one size fits all ...but me ::(: )

I've learned a bit more about using SketchUp.

I thought Google had retired that. ^ Want to know more.

Pouncing bag for molds

Also, I typically follow TGP's methods.

Fix it if I can, replace if I can't   I also do a lot of reuse and re-purposing.

None really; I'm pretty self-sufficient normally.  I grew up in the country, and we always went about a month between grocery trips and such, so I guess i have just been reviving skills from my past.

Google sold it to another company (Trumble?).  They have it as a web based application for a fee (different pricing plans).  But if you dig around on their web site there is a desktop based free version from 2017 that does most everything.  Site is sketchup.com.  No link as it is a commercial site.

It's your turn to cook. What are you serving?

Seems its been a few days.....

Is it pouring or are the winds above 70 kph, or is it below -25 C?

No, then something off the grill

Yes, then likely spaghetti.

If I find an unpaired sock, it goes in the drawer with the rest (at the front, on the right) until it's mate shows up (or another matching single appears), then it resumes duty.

If my wife finds one of my unmatched socks, it goes into the "odd sock" basket, where it will reside for 3-8 years (or until I run out of socks) before she finally goes through it and match up the 15 or 20 socks that have accumulated there (note that there will ALWAYS be one left over, to seed the new "odd socks" basket.).

I will try to fix it.  I like to fix things.

Unfortunately this has led to my wife assuming I can fix anything.  We have had this conversation more than once:

Mrs. J: Can you fix this? *holds out handful of random plastic shrapnel*
Me: I can even tell what it was....

Mrs. J: It was a <insert random ornament or cat toy or wall hanging or kitchen doodad>

Me: Well, if I glue this and this, and pin it here....here...and here....and .....wait, is this a sticker from the Dollar Store?

How to blur or replace your background in MS Teams, so that I don't have to clean up behind me for team meeting where my manager wants video on.

Beyond that I'm still working full time from home, so I haven't had more free time during the pandemic. More likely less.
