International Delivery Times

Back on the international ordering 'train" tonight. I placed a order with Spotmodel for a couple of decals. One I've been waiting to order for at least 2 months when I first saw it was up for preorder. Also decided that I'll sup up the model by getting a carbon fiber decal sheet as well.

Now I just need to get paint & the actual model to put it all on, ha ha.

So Battletech KS wave one fulfilment to Canada was packed in FL and trucked up.  FedEx thought the truck would make it through to Ontario a few days ago so gave everyone delivery dates of yesterday pretty much.  As of this morning the truck still hasn't made it to Ontario and our delivery dates are now all "pending"......

A few updates on things...

CoreHawk3D Thrustmaster TWCS slider mod: Ordered Nov 4th, shipped Nov 5th, Received November 15th.  Yeah, I know, CanadaPost delivering on the weekend felt a touch strange, but... I liked it. (from NC to AB in ten days, nice!)

Reaper order: Ordered Nov 7th in the evening, shipped Nov 9th.  Just got into Canada, although isn't showing on CanadaPost's site just yet.  But odds are I should get it this week, at least by my guess.

Hobbylink Japan order came today!!

9 days including a US national holiday. Not bad at all!! I will admit, the packaging it arrived was a bit crazy. I ordered a decal for a 1/20 scale F1 car. It came in a box. The decal was backed by a cardboard board in a sealed bag. Very nice, as far a packing, but a bit over the top for a decal.

Currently waiting on my Halloween order from Kingdom Death. It was supposedly sent on the 6th Nov (the USPS tracker has never updated beyond "Label created, not in system"), unfortunately it's always taken a while to get my stuff from them (I like to imagine their shipping dept. consists of one little, old lady who is continually horrified by what she's packing up), so I can't tell if it's business as usual or current climate chaos, or a little bit of both.

This one arrived today.

34 days in transit is probably only 4 days longer than normal, so not bad at all.

(Honestly, I wish it had taken a bit longer. Everything I've ordered or preordered in the last couple of months has chosen this week to arrive, so I'm getting the ol' stink eye about spending too much.)

I have three packages coming from the US, looks like all three have departed the US, none have made it into Canada (or at least there has been no tracking).

One just shipped 2 days ago and left the US this morning.::):

One shipped on the 8th and departed the US on the 13th.

And one shipped on Jan 2nd and departed the US on the 5th. ::(:

That last one is troubling....
