He was in the dutch republic at the time.

That’s the spirit. A nugget of info unearthed!

Fahrenheit was born in Poland, but perhaps to German parents, and then lived most of his life in the Netherlands.  His field of study was more or less anything to do with heat and temperature. His biggest problem: there were no reliable instruments for measuring temperature until he built / invented some.

Oh! I forgot! We finally wrapped up Avernus!

It was nice. Had a lot of fun, but I'm glad to be heading on to something else now. Not sure what we're doing yet. Might nut up and offer to run something, depending what folks are wanting to do. I'm a little nervous; I just don't have the feel for 5e I'd like.

In big today news: Cleaned off the paint station! I have eaten so. Much. Dust. x_x

But desk is in its new spot. Mini storage is a hot mess, but. Gotta clean off the shelves that were sitting behind the desk, which are insanely covered in dirt, and get another shelf from my brother so I can get all the D&D novels clean and straightened away, and blah blah blah. Little bit closer to habitable.

The sad realization that tomorrow is Monday... *sigh*

Yeah, monday...

Woke at about 7am because a neighbor is kind of noisy when he starts off towards work...

Managed to get a few more minutes shut-eye, then got up and took a quick shower...

It's now 09:11am, and my teawater just boiled.

So, breakfast, checking the news and my fave webcomics, then maybe start the search for clean clothing?

Or I could just slob around in my underwear...

Vacation... makes even mondays tolerable...

It's not a real Monday if vacation is involved.  The real Monday is waiting stalking you until you return to work, no matter what actual day of the week it is.  Monday: it's a state of reality, not just a day of the week!

Mondays never have bothered me but then again. I don't work a regular weekly shift. Monday is actually one of my lighter work days.

2 more weeks till I finally get vacation. Well, that is if they allow me actually take it this time. Co worker came back from his 2 weeker last night. He'll work this week due to the 4th but then he'll take his last week for his yearly thr following week.

At least I have DnD to look forward to on the 6th (& every Monday after that) next month.  Also what's up with the weather right now? 2020 crazy weather continues....  It's like 60 to 65 right now & pouring rain & very strong winds. Summer, what's that? (Not that I don't mind)

Well, that means my Monday is in 3 days time!

It's a big day here in Caledonia - non essential shops are finally allowed to open(with restrictions, obviously) ^_^ I'm really glad my little patch of the world is taking the slow and steady route out of this whole mess, hopefully we should be able to avoid a second spike.

The weather is terrible here(as usual) and I got soaked on my early run, so my plans for the rest of the day involve some painting, changing my hair colour and watching a couple of movies that we rented off Amazon(Sea Fever and Black Christmas). My housemate really isn't into horror films, but they made me watch Skyscraper, San Andreas and Jack Reacher:Never Go Back in the last few days so it's payback time ::P:

Up too early, but at least the weather is a little cooler this morning. It won't stay cool, but... at least I wasn't sweating from just stepping out to let the beasts do their business.

Monday, work... ugh. Need to keep myself motivated. I've got a 4 day weekend coming up, and my boss is off for 7 work days starting Thursday.

Plan for tonight: Write up at least 1 session report (I'm only 17 behind now!), watch 2-3 episodes of Avatar, and work on painting the dreadmere herbalist.

For now: COFFEE!

My daughter was watching Good Morning America & they mentioned a remake of Princess Bride done up a COVID-19 way with a cast of famous people. So I went on Google to see what it was about:

Finally I can actually use Quibi for something (I get it for free due to being a T-Mobile)!!

BD had a bad night last night, waking everytime thunder went BOOM.

And this morning was grouchy because the weather is yuck.

Grump went out, looked up to let the rain land on his face and said "Oh, this is nice".

Because Grumpy is nuts. <_<

Any and all twitch streams before 1pm EST happen while I'm asleep. As of two weeks from now, any and all twitch streams that happen at a reasonable time will happen while I'm on my way to work or at work where I'm trapped behind the biggest "LOL NO"s you can imagine. Blocked websites, passive signal dampening, and of course cell phone use being a punishable offense now (three times and you're fired no exceptions not even if someone's died on the floor). I won't be renewing my sub for that reason, because I'll have no ability to catch steams anymore.

And I thought classified aerospace containment work spaces were strict! Sheesh!

Easy trip back from the New Mexico alpines. It sure is nice that the traffic is so down. We always get stuck in Colorado Springs.

All the plants seem to have survived the weekend. I think we were watering too much. Tomatoes are doing much better being in the ground and not getting a soak every day. Lime tree was a bit droopy but perked right up with two scoops of water. Think I need to come up with a watering scheme like I have for the philodendron (now 25 years old after killing it down to a single leaf in ‘97 when I got it from the grocery store). Maybe twice a week in summer and once in winter when it is inside.

Now I want limeade. Had Sonic limeade slushes both coming and going from the cabin.

Oh well. Back to reviewing system engineering charts and updating test plans.

Bring a phone with you into a metal smelting facilty, and they'll toss it in the crucible as a first warning.

Many places with dangerous equipment have rules about distracting devices.

If they don't have rules it just means no one has gone and maimed themselves while texting there, yet...
