I haven't played, or attempted to play, it since I was a kid. It seems both easier and harder this time around. Me and the boys were playing it together over a year ago on laptops and tablets. Then the younger one got tired of it and the older wouldn't play without him. I never finished my single player game either. I'm in between games at the moment. I should maybe start playing again. I've played through BG 2 a couple times ages ago and bought the enhanced version but never even installed it yet. Have the 2 Icewind Dale games too but don't think any of my old disks will install on my new laptop.
Mad Jack
I'm currently grinding my way through Daggerdale... It''s a straight-up barrel-smashing button-mashing dungeoncrawler, a D&D-flavored spiritual child of Gauntlet and Diablo... (And yes, it's using the 4E rules, no comments from the peanut gallery... )

I dunno about other people, but I find that delicate work that isn't based on trained handedness skills (like writing or painting) actually goes better with my left hand. It's almost like, since my right hand is stronger, my left is more...focused? I'm explaining poorly, but like when I play guitar or deal out cards or button a shirt or play video games on the computer, I find that my left hand is usually the MVP, while my right hand does the more repetitive or finely-tuned tasks (such as aiming and firing, strumming, etc.). My sister is a leftie, and it's funny how (while she is somewhat ambidextrous) it's kind of similar for her. She deals cards and opens jars right handed, as well as quite a few other things that aren't actually hand-dependent. It's very interesting! I've done a little painting with my left hand (mostly during the 7-day Challenges lol), and I think with some practice I could get pretty decent at it. Probably not to the point where I could do eyes or lining, but for the more general basecoating tasks, I think I could manage. I tend to go a LOT slower, as well as being a lot more careful. LittleBluberry
I am still among the living, still busy. Testing proceeds with middle daughter, we've gotten as far as proving she has measurable reading difficulty. More testing still required, she's done six hours and we have two more scheduled. Oldest daughter is going to get some iron infusions, we're done trying to manage with just supplements. Will be interesting to see if this helps with her anxiety. We're supposed to go camping next week. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Kinda wish I could just spend that week home painting, but hubby wants to escape the house.

I have heard 2 stories of horrible times with that scenario and the only time i have every had a party walk out on me, even after I had explained that it was intended to be a no-win scenario. I think that one may have been the final, unfinished straw. I remember the spokesmonkey from Paizo saying 'It's a playtest, they aren't supposed to be fun'. Uhm, guys - it's a playtest for a game. Games are supposed to be fun. The whole thing was so badly done And then came Resonance - and they lost half their playtesters in a single week. They tried, and failed to fix Resonance - but were too deep into the rules to pull out of their other plans for 2e. I am certain that some people enjoy playing it - I am also certain that we won't be among those people. The Auld Grump
redambrosia
Well, I managed to finish one creative thing. I colored a postcard I’ve had for a while. I did not let Sephy glue her hands together.

strawhat
Mostly a decent day, today. We got to see Eldest when she and Mrs. Strawhat went to the market and picked up some fresh produce while I did the mowing. They came back home and did some canning. I probably won't get any of it (as it will most likely be for granddaughter and grandson), but it's good to have them doing things. We didn't get to see grandson, though. He stayed home with his dad. A little "excitement" with Ma and Pa Strawhat that anyone with aging parental units could have. And I even managed to get a little painting on my Nagendra in. The Matriarch has stalled, but this is temporary: I know what needs to be done but just don't really want to do it now. The Nagendra Captain is now nearly done (some work on the hilts remains). The archer is almost done (just work on the bow and arrows, maybe some scale highlights). The spearman's paint scheme has been decided (yellow, I really like the Marigold Yellow, I probably should have started a shade lower to make Marigold my main color). No real progress on the Warriors, though. I'm still working through them mentally.
