One of the things I loved about The Princess Bride - the blather wasn't blather - or at least it was informed blather! But that was Camillo Agrippa, not Cornelius. I... have no idea whether the two are related, or not.... Seems unlikely, given that Cornelius Agrippa is properly Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa, and was German. I am afraid that I don't know much about Camillo. On the other hand, I can go on for quite some time about the use of magic squares and rosettes in the creation of sigils.... Much preferring the magic squares, thank you very much. The Auld Grump

I also finished reading a Forgotten Realms novel! So there's that. You'd like to think that somewhere there is a land filled with nothing but well Gruntled Generates, who would karmically balance all the Disgruntled Degenerates wandering around the landscape. A bloke would like to think that this is so…. ~~~ But Yay! for finishing a book. 6

Well, it could have been - both Agrippas were polymaths, and well versed in a wide range of fields. (I cheated and looked Camillo up - he was a master of the short sword.) *** Still very much enjoying Rangers of Shadowdeep. Don’t ask me. I’m not a history lover. Except when it comes to weird facts. Then I’m your guy. The one on top is based on Soviet propaganda posters, the one below is based on the USA propaganda. Look at the style. I do love History, especially Military History and Nature ( extinct animals, early civilizations etc.) Also love Mythology. A shame people don't learn from History though. But that is a topic for the beehive.

I know it is a capable Air-to-Ground weapon system, the picture shared, however did not support that thesis Australia is also currently switching to the F-35, but from the F/A-18 in our case. 4
BadgersinMeadows
Laptop's gone for repair - Battery needs replacing I bet. It'll be expensive and will take a while to get back.... Right when I'm getting really busy with assignments. Perfect timing, but I have access to other laptops so it's all good. Went to a cafe today that had renovated, the owners are super sweet. Got two coffees, the latter with sugar syrup once I learned they gave sugar syrup. Also had waffles for lunch. Not complaining! :)
Lord of the Dish Pit
Speaking of Death From Above, I have learned that there is a "meteor shower" taking place this week. At least that is what channel 7 insists, so I am more inclined to be expecting this to instead be an invasion of Martian Death Ray Walkers. It's 2020. Martians invading would be keeping with what been happening thus far, I mean we've got zombies! (granted they are insect zombies, but close enough.) However the little green men have chosen a poor time to schedule their invasion because of the plague. Even so, they may do a fair bit of damage before the virus takes them out. On that note I have begun negotiations to get a hold of a friend's bass boat, which shall be uparmored and armed, renamed the Thunder Child, and used to patrol the river for the emergence of the Death Ray Walkers.... 3
aku-chan
The hot weather is getting to me. Supposed to be making a cheesy veg pasta bake for dinner, but I somehow forgot to buy either cheese or vegetables.
