SO THAT"S WHAT HAPPENED!

A lightning strike hit the munitions area where the glitterbombs were kept!

So gazebo-mimics have storm summoning abilities as well....this is new information, explains quite a bit....

Heavy rain and thunderstorm, the drainpipe was a bit clogged and then the water found a way, luckily only by the sliding doors.

I declogged the pipe.

Made an appointment with the roofer ( Tuesday...)

Hoping it will be alright.

The water went through the facia.

It has stopped now I declogged the pipe.

The good news, the part where I made the repairs above the cellar is fine.

My girl thinks we should call off the roofer.

She said that we need to make sure the pipe is not clogged so it won't happen again.

Clearly a plumbing problem of some sort, so GREEN STUFF IT!!! Sculpt a wolf head into it too, throw some glitter on it... it'll be just fine.:;):

I think I will call the roofer tomorrow morning for advice.

Maybe it's just making sure the water can go down the drainpipe.

They have inspected the roof a month ago, should be good actually.

But if the drainpipe is clogged it can't go away so it will seek a way into the house.

WOOF's LOG.

TOP SECRET

Date August 13th 2020

OPERATION GAZEBO.

Operative: Glitterwolf

This morning I rescued the furniture with the help of Agent Brutus.

While Brutus created a diversion by laying close to the Gazebo and trying to look like a yummie snack, I brought the furniture into safety, leaving the Gazebo empty!

Brutus was able to evade the Gazebo's attack and I took over after that.

20200813_091859.thumb.jpg.93642df0aa7dfb35654caa7aa5128386.jpg

First I cut the power, without electricity it couldn't sense my first attack.

Of course it not noticing my attack could also have had something to do with my initial choice of weapon.

It had no effect!

I could have sworn to hear the Gazebo singing "I'm Still Standing" from Elton John.

So, now the Gazebo was feeling secure and safe, I opted for more effective weaponry.

The battle was hard, I drew first wood blood!

But then the Gazebo called upon it's allies!

They were everywhere!

I had to withdraw!

Knowing this battle will go on for days, I decided to get the heavy weapons!

I was succesful in crippling it, but I was exhausted and also a thunderstorm came up.

We will continue the fight tomorrow, hopefully it won't regenerate!

Stay tuned for next week's exciting episode of Gazebo's Revenge...

I have been working on my adventure today. I think I have part one done... Just 2 pages, but the rest should fall into place. The only major issue is my main map is on my old dinosaur of a deal top and it is the only copy I can find, so I will have to recreate it on graph paper and then find a way to redraw it digitally.

I just found the hand drawn maps I made over three years ago as well as some of the printed off digital from two years ago. I still have to redo them as I hit a snag and did not finish them, but that will not be a problem.

Well had my first major disappointment with Army Painter spray cans. A almost full matte white primer can went KAPUT! on me. I tried cleaning the nozzle, as the flow coming was just a piddle. I tried a different nozzle & still the same thing going on. I think I opened this can maybe a month ago & sprayed a batch of minis before today. Sigh.

Good thing I can get those locally now vs out of town or mail order. Granted they have to be ordered but I can do that & help the FLGS out at the same time.

Right,

After speaking to other people with flat roofs, I decided to cancel the appointment with the roofer.

I need to keep the drainpipe free so it can do it's job.

If the water can't go down the drain, it will seek a way.

The roof has recently been inspected and repaired where necessary so that isn't the problem.

As soon as I unclogged the drainpipe the leaking stopped ( a little later)..

I will keep the pipe free and when it rains again it shouldn't leak then.

If it does then I will call the roofer.

No need to pay for inspections that have been done recently in this situation I guess.

I tend to panic a little with leakages..I have had a terrible on in my first home.

So I overreacted I think.

When it comes to potential water damage, it's generally better to overreact than under react.
