Inarah
I woke up with a crushing headache, to the news that an asteroid is supposed to collide with earth on the day before the election.... It's Monday, isn't it? 8

It's Monday, isn't it? Yeah, but it's only about 2 meters long and only has a about a 0.4% chance of entering the atmosphere. So we're good. 11

This is as close as we can come to our traditional annual consensual connubial canoodling in a canoe. And, if it starts raining again, that too is... TRADITION! The Auld Grump Kayaks are not made for connubial caresses. My first time in a kayak, a lot easier for a small person to control than a canoe, and the double ended paddles worked well for me. Faster, too, I think. For connubial purposes, rowboats are best. They had some bright yellow jon boats at the camp for the retreat a few years ago, before BD. Slow, not graceful, but you could get silly in them. Edited August 24, 2020 by PaganMegan 11
SparrowMarie
I broke down and took a nap. Caffeine wasn't doing anything except upsetting my stomach. It's still only 8:20. I want to rinse my hair out and see how blue it is but Husband is sleeping and I don't want to wake him with the shower noise since the bathroom shares a wall with our headboard. I think I'm going to wake up a little more them finish the base coat on this Frost Giant Queen (man I feel like I paint a lot of these this is #3) for my...Saturday?...Friday??? RCon class. I'll figure it out when I'm more awake. Anyway, I put my brown liner on too thick and putting a base coat of fair skin on it is proving awful. I've almost got it there but I found a fingerprint on her leg. I think everything else...just kidding, I have to prep my minis for the freehand class. I'm /almost/ ready finishing prep on the minis at least. I did also clean like all my brushes last night while binging the end of Gravity Falls with Husband (I've seen if before, he had not). I've got to sit down with my packing list also and check that I don't need anything else not on it. ETA: it's definitely a Monday. Computer BSOD'd just after I posted this. ETA2: It seems that the computer only BSOD's when I am on my profile and not when Husband uses it. I'm just hoping I don't have issues while taking classes. A tiny object, about half the size of a VW Beetle. Apparently the size to be alarmed about is 450 feet in diameter. Depending on the shape, that is about the size of a battleship.
NebulousMissy
Hah! I don't have to go to work today! Instead I have to write a lecture, call people about getting a university email already, get my student list from the professor, and roll d20s to assign random datasets. Hey, I was told to assign data randomly. No constraints on how 9 1
pcktlnt
From a person on the inside, a tree had been struck by lightning and fell across power lines and the road. The blocked road prevented the firefighters from getting to the stricken area that allow the wildfire to swell. From news articles, the cause of the wildfires was due to 11000+ lightning strikes last week. Yesterday, the bay area hoped for the best and a passing thunderstorm struck 545 times causing 6 small fires that were contained. Most of the strikes were along the coast. The evacuation zones have increased in size but nothing solid yet. Packed and waiting for more news. 3

I hope your hair comes out nicely. I haven't done mine this year. Nobody will see it and it is ridiculously expensive to get long hair dyed.

I say it's good.

redambrosia
Funny, I had a dream about a meteor coming to crash down on us (I think we were having a picnic). It looked big, but by the time it landed, it was a big ball of laundry. Why, yes! I am overdue in doing my laundry! How did you know!? 7
