So I've decided to build up cars, that are media/entertainment iconic to me. Looking at online resources or the '66 Batmobile I came across the Mach 5 model. Now Speed Racer never really was a favorite but I did like the car. I also remember buying a model many, many years ago as well. I also remembered Polar Lights released like 2 or 3 versions of the model (prepainted, snap together & full glue kit). Looking on ebay prices are reasonable for a Out of print model. The thing is, they've updated the box art on all the kits since I bought my kit & all of them are out of print, sigh. Luckily, you can find the instruction sheets as pdfs. I was able to find out which kit was the glue kit. Now I mentioned I bought that kit. Looking for it this morning I came across it!! WAhhooo!!! I've started a inventory as I started this kit. The biggest thing I see is, I'm missing the wheels (HTH did that happen???). So it appears I have my kit, I just need the wheels, so in turn, I'm gonna have to buy a full kit. You have a 3D printer? Could you find appropriate wheels to print? ~~~~~ We met Sammy's clone today. Closer than twins. WhiteWulfe
Ohhh my, plans for the A-10 model I've had for a while *cough*birthday gift from hubby in 2019*cough* ... Are finally rolling in motion. Got two decent sized carts for various assembly items (since all the items aren't readily available from one store), weathering stuff and paints, and an idea for how I'll paint it too... Spoiler due to it'll probably make anyone who focuses on accuracy with such models twinge and twitch.... the 2003 tiger meet paint job Canada did... With 408 "Fighting Geese" TacHel as the squadron logo... Rather tempted to call it "Project Heresy" for several reasons... Yeah, I'm excited. It's a Revell 1:48 model, if curious. But yeah, been a while since I've contemplated this much thought behind any projects... Edit: the fun part is whether or not to do a build log for it... FWIW, my "covid dental" experience was not overall much different from normal, except for my wearing a mask before and after, and also having to use a listerine "antiviral" mouthwash before we began. It tasted pretty much like a regular mouthwash, in that my mouth went slightly numb and tasted like I'd been sucking on expired cough drops. YMMV though. Ask yourself if you're regretting that decision and miss him or if you were at peace with it. Follow your heart and instinct here. Thing is I haven't sent out an Xmas card in at least 2 years. Thanks y'all for the advice. I'm still considering my options. I'm going to be very cautious with this.

It started off about being a tale of some five-or-so deep sea divers searching for the wreck of a long-lost ship that supposedly had a mysterious and valuable cargo onboard, but sunk before anyone got to know what it was. Some fifteen minutes in, now I've got dark deity-like characters and zombies in it. Geez. I see no problem with this, I'm waiting for the fishmen, sentient sharks and eels and some sort of prehistoric monster that awakens from it's slumber. Don't forget the pirate's ghost and some mermaids. Good luck... 6 hours ago, sumbloke said: Okay, it seems like some of these seeds are making it past quarantine into Australia. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-08-26/australians-warned-to-be-on-look-out-for-mystery-seeds/12592348 Biowarfare / terrorism? Or, put it in a yard with a washing machine and okd refrigerator outside a trailer with a monkey skin rug as a welcome mat.. i remember really not liking that monkey...
