Randomness XVII: The Madness of the Quorum

Coffee has its best flavor when fresh and hot. It starts to go bad within a couple hours of being brewed. A few days or weeks later and yes, you have rancid coffee.

I thought it was just Americans drinking horrible stale cold brewed coffee.  We're not known for appreciating the subtleties of fine, fresh coffees.

The tendrils of Starbucks reach far and wide! Singapore's local kopi is pretty good, but I prefer the tea.

Just did the instant pot spaghetti, with one change.

Sauteed the beef and an onion in our cast iron pan, getting my stubby little arms up and into the pot is harder than just using the stove. I would need to stand on something.

Everything went into the pot, meat first, then pasta, then a mix of one jar spaghetti sauce and two cups of water.

Fifteen minutes to reach pressure, eight minutes to cook, tossed with some cheese, and done.

It was good! I now know what my default BD Needs Food Meal is going to be! ::D: Tradition, updated. Spaghetti and meat sauce was Mum's default Megan Needs Food Meal. ::P:

You and Grump.

To me, tea tastes like old leaves stewed in boiling water. ::P:

Well, finally found what Silent Sam vodka (a terrible, low budget oh so cheap vodka) smells like.  I used to jokingly say isopropyl, but that didn't quite seem right.  Didn't have that dryness to the bitter smell...

Tamiya X-20 thinner.  Seriously.  Also, wow, this thinner has a noticeably stronger smell to it, almost like it isn't an odourless variety... :poke:

Close order marching — gone, replaced by 2 meter intervals

Personally, I'd prefer them not performing at all (which is the current plan anyway) to changing up all the style and tradition they're known for. Military marching is only "flashy" when you view it as a group, not as individual components. I think that's true for most marching styles, but more so for military.

You need fresher tea. It should taste like grass. ::D:

Missing the local Tea Festival this year along with everything else.  DH and I volunteered last year and got to sit in on the presentations, it was very interesting.

Yeah. No Japan Festival at JCCC either. I like attending panels on tea ceremony. I always learn something new...

Tamiya's acrylic line is alcohol based. Why your getting such a strong smell. Don't bother thinning with water, as it'll just be a big mess.

I wonder how the Enamel thinner from them is gonna smell like. I need to pick up my bottle tomorrow from the hobby shop. Plus, need to put a small order for Tamiya spray cans. I feel like I'm just getting started with models, with the amount of stuff, I've had to order to re-start!!

I did find a interesting spray paint from them TS101 Base White. It suppose to be strong white you put down before white or other bright colors. If this does what it's suppose to do, I will be very very happy. I ordered a can & it'll be here later this week.

*I'm not entirely sure why my quote regarding marching bands is applicable to your statement (I am assuming it somehow relates to elitist male appendages). What I am going to write is going off assumptions, so I'll beg your pardon in advance if I have misinterpreted you; no offense is meant, and my words are written without malice.*

I don't believe anyone deserves to get this illness (with a few notable exceptions, but that is Beekeeper territory, and I want no part of that). Most of the people in those marching bands are receiving school credit for participating, or are on musical scholarships that may require them to partake. Yes, they could opt out of the course or scholarship, take out a loan instead, but sometimes life is not always that simple. So I genuinely hope that none of the students or staff contract Covid (though I think it is unrealistic that such fortune will happen).

As for the high school or college kids holding parties during this time, don't wear masks and avoid using common sense, I don't believe they deserve it either. That said, that doesn't mean I excuse their actions and behavior; you reap what you sow, so my sympathy is very low to those who knowingly endanger others so recklessly. I do hope they recover, and learn from their mistakes.

As my friend Forrest Gump would say, that's all I have to say about that.

As I said, it does sound cruel but some people just won't listen or hell won't even learn their lesson so to speak even if they do get it. Trying to do everything I can to not get this virus as a father in a family of 4; working at a grocery store during this, yah my views a bit skewed when it comes to people that don't want to follow the rules to keep everyone safe ("FREEEEEEDOOOOOMMMMM!!!) & living on this side of the state (again #1 county in cases per capita for OR!! WAHOOOO!!!) & having one more week in a Phase 1 shut down before the govnah decide to lift it or not. Lifting the ban, also allows my FLGS to start running live events at the store, so yah, my views are bit skewed when it comes to these kind of things.

I will admit, when I say oh that guy deserves it or that guy or girl, I'm not saying everyone that irks me or no mask or whatever should get it. I'm just reserving it for extreme cases, likes the elf that wasn't paying attention & about hit me as I walking past the Burger King drive through exit for example.

My statement of the OSU dad was- football isn't that important, especially when afterwards he was worried about his son's NFL draft status. Love of football, uhh no, love of money. This is coming from a fan of Oregon Ducks football & most sports in general. Just not that important this year.

& yes, it does apply to the male appendage people. I spaced off bolding that part of your quote.
