When I saw the picture, I didn't see the second leg.  I thought you had replaced the leg at the knee with a power axe!

Glad I'm not the only one.  I just thought it was pre-coffee eyes!

In other news, the shop loaner (because they aren't doing the pick-up / drop-off service thing atm because of obvious reasons) has reminded me why I greatly prefer early to mid '90's cars sooooo much.  There's no throttle slop as it's a physical cable, pedal response is instantaneous, and you actually can feel the road in the steering wheel.  It's been a looooong time since any vehicle has made me miss my old Corolla so, so, very much.  And this one did it....  With a slushbox in it too.  Oh, and it's a Saturn as well, but I never had any issues with that brand. ::P:

Funny coincidence. I drove a Corolla for a long time and then had a Saturn. They were both very agile little cars. My Saturn had a stick, though. Made for some exciting driving at times.

Ugh...

First thing this morning I had a customer this morning point out an issue with my manufacturer's website.   But getting the people at the manufacturer to understand it/acknowledge it has been frustrating.

if you type in www.websitenamehere.com , it works just fine.   But if you type in websitenamehere.com  (w/o the www), it doesn't work - you get a database error.  Some browsers, like Chrome, are smart enough to add the www - if the page is already in it's cache - but of course, that means you have been to the website at least once already.

So everyone at the manufacturer is going "It's working for me!"  w/o paying attention to the problem. Of course it's working for them, they've ALL been to the website.  And it's not sinking in that customers who have never been to the website before stand a good chance of seeing a database error. Since hardly anyone types in www as part of a website name any more, it's definitely a problem that needs to be addressed.

The saddest part of all this?  I have a PC physically located in their offices that I remotely log into to access their database. That's all I use it for. So I'd never used the browsers on it, which means I got the problem there.  All they have to do to see the issue is walk into the office where my PC is and hit refresh on the browser window I have open to see it for themselves.

Eh, she got the positive this morning. Seems to be doing okay tho, so hopefully that keeps up.

Pup's been at the vet all morning. They're gonna give him a look. I would like to be shocked when word arrives, but.

I haven't had caffeine in, like, five days now. Been sleeping like the dead at night lately, which I imagine is not entirely unrelated, but I sure am missing the Dew.

I'm having student problems.

They can't find where an assignment is. I asked the professor about it and he assured me he's handling it (mostly he told me to leave it alone and stop bugging him). I can see the assignment on the course page.

Students are bugging me for explicit website directions. 'Which tab do I click' and 'where is it' and 'can you send it to me instead'.

No! Go to the course webpage yourself! Explore! Click things! You won't hurt anything! Learn you little overachieving helicopter-parented unimaginative whelps! LEARN!

This problem is coming to a head. Mostly because the test opened yesterday at 8AM and closes today in one hour and all my students waited until the last minute. I have been EXPLICIT as to where they can find the test and they're still not following basic directions. No I cannot send them the link because I only have access to the instructor version with answers scribbled all over it. No I would not send them the link even if I had one because it's RIGHT ELFING THERE.

FIND it you timid tech-coddled autorun-reliant larval adults!
