There was a travelling museum exhibition based on the book - that's where I bought my copy of it. IIRC, we saw it at the Denver Museum of Science & History while on a school field trip, and then I begged my parents to go see it again, and that's when I bought the book.   I spent hours just pouring through the pages for months afterwards, then wound up using it for Traveller games in high school.

Morning all. This cooler weather is for the birds..... Hell's even they fly south for the winter....coffee is made. One if my favorite video games updated yesterday.... And again today apparently, so am downloading the file now... I should be finish draining the hot tub or taking the load of trash on the bed of my truck to the dump, but I am not awake enough for that.

Anyway during the mass extintions between 75% and over 90% of species were wiped out.

When we're gone life will go on and new species will rise.

 

I just wish I could somehow see how nature will look when humanity is gone and the Earth healed.

It will take a long time, but in the end it will happen.

 

 

pfft. Healing. Won't happen if the negative feedback loops of the world get shifted into positive feedback loops, and perpetuate damage instead of mitigate it. At a certain point, even us leaving won't let things recover.
